@FiiO Can you tell us what the ideal resolution is for album art? In other words, what is the max resolution that is displayed? I feel I should reduce the size of my art to that size so no downscaling is needed - and to possibly improve performance of the GUI.
Dear friend,

Theoretically, there is no limitation of resolution for album art. Though smaller album art could have smaller requirmemnt in CPU, the clarity may not be good when using smaller size album art.
So you may just keep the normal album art for the album.

Best regards

@Ichos
In DC mode,The battery will be charged if it is not fully charged. But the battery will not provide any power at that time.

Best regards
Is this correct when DC power is used?

In DC mode - both analog and digital sections are powered by DC
In BAT mode - analog is powered by DC and digital is powered by the battery

Is this confirmed?
In fact, as long as the M17 connects to DC power supply, all power supply is provided from the DC first.
In BAT mode, all DC power supply enters the PMU and then comes out to power other systems.
In DC mode, the DC power supply is divided into 2 channels, 1 channel enters the PMU and power other systems, and 1 channel is directly powered to THX, which can provide a larger discharge voltage output and a larger swing.
So only the THX part uses DC power supply directly, and the other digital parts, as well as the analog parts of the LPF, are powered by the PMU.

Best regards

@FiiO

Quoting from my soon to be published review.

Missing functions

"Then the top shelf information bar will not display the current gain setting nor the digital filter that is selected.

Another thing of note is that the filter selection is not directly available from the drop down menu.
The user must first enter the general settings menu, then select audio settings and at the end, choose the desired filter.
You can always set the multifunction side button to cycle through the filters but then again you have no clue of which one is selected.
These two issues are great omissions and they should be addressed in a future firmware update, as soon as possible."

I know Soundnews has a review of the M17 but has anyone else tested the Susvara on the M17 with ifi power elite? How much sound quality would I lose by running it with the M17 compared to an acceptable desktop range amplifier / DAC?
I am keen to know others’ opinions as well, those who have played around with the Susvara pairing. I’m really curious. I am in the market for an easy to drive pair of cans for travel purposes but if I could travel with a Susvara instead, that would be something.

For example, I wonder how the sound of a Susvara + M17 compare against an LCD-5/ Meze Elite / Utopia + a regular DAP/Mojo2/iFi Gryphon?

Thanks for all the info, I have updated the power functionality chart in my previous post:

Thanks for the kind feedback. We have recorded and reported the first time you mentioned this feature.
The engineers are considering entering the filter selection in the drop down menu. But it will be added in later firmware instead of the next firmware.

Best regards

Hi,

i´m now also an owner of the M17. I often use Apple Music with the Wavelet Equalizer App. But, is there a system Wide Equalizer App with more band/settings?

Thanks, Markus

There is Poweramp EQ, which has a system wide parametric EQ. Not sure if it works with Apple Music, you may have to enable detection on a computer. I did however have some issues using it with Qobuz (stream would stall at the beginning of songs if sampling rate changed), so am now using Wavelet. But it might not be an issue for you and Apple Music.
