You need to turn off the loudness normalisation in the Tidal app on your M17.. All MQA tracks on the M17 should light up purple when using the Tidal app..
I don’t know if you have noticed but the M17 literature recommends IEM’s/Headphones up to 300Ω so, trying to drive 600Ω headphones with this unit is not going to work very well, the M17 was not engineered for that scenario.
Yes, I've read all of the specs, and I also have read & watched many reviews that tested the M17 on many headphones. I disagree with your strictly literature-based “recommended” assertion that the M17 cannot handle 600 Ω headphones. On battery? Sure, it will struggle. However Enhanced Over-Ear Headphone Mode (i.e. DC power only) is a different ballgame.
<edited to remove FiiO M9 reference - they have changed their published specs down to 150 Ω since I took notes on it last year>

Most of the USB-C powerbank can't limit their voltage to 12V output with a M17 with such DC 5.1mm adapter => so it's impossible to activate the enhanced audio mode of the M17 through the DC Input...
90% of the power bank can just provide some juice for charging the M17 through the USB-C port.
Till now I could find the Samsung EB-U3300XJEGEU Batterie Externe 10,000 mAh which is limited to 12V output through an USB-C port. so in this case the cable should work.

Newbie questions here: Thanks in advance..
1. Will there be a user based way to replace the batter if needed in the future?
2. Can this unit operate as a desktop (DC plugged in) unit if the battery ceases to operate due to age and degradation of the battery?
