Sorry if you don't mean this literally, but if you see an electrical spark while connecting the DC plug to the DC input jack on the M17, STOP using using the DC power immediately! It looks like you have a faulty socket on the M17 or a faulty charger. I would contact your seller for an exchange or refund.

I would say that size is a factor that quite limits the target audience.
For everything else, the DAP is almost a Swiss army knife.
Very good sound, power and soundstage.

I was looking for something transportable but that could keep it stationary on my desktop most of the time without battery degradation (as usb-dac etc)

If you think the percentage , Astell & Kern reduced value lower than FiiO.
(The more expensive, more lower)
Like the price of headphones . In my country , M17 lost 30% value in second hand price but Astell & Kern lost 50%.

In Canada, brand new it is being sold $2499+13% taxes = $2823.87 CAD = $2219.85USD. I have seen a few on the used market $2300CAD = $1800USD

Could you please look into whether battery life has been impacted negatively since your FiiO music app update several days ago?
My battery life is much, much worse- last night I charged to 85% (my chosen full charging amount) and today, exactly 12 hours later when going out, the battery level is 66%. That’s just sat asleep, I don’t shut down my 17 between using it.
I’ve had my 17 since launch and have never experienced battery level decreasing anywhere close to this rate.
In the meantime, is is possible to downgrade to the previous firmware for the FiiO music app?

Anybody else experiencing an impact on their battery level?

1. Is the Bluetooth or Wifi function keep on after charged to 85%? Or Music still playing? You could click the 'Enter sleep' icon in the home page to save the battery life.
2. The update of the FiiO Music app could be removed from system setting-app-FiiO Music-...(top right corner)-uninstall updates.

@MaceHane2 Try clearing cache of the app.Just press over the app icon few seconds and select info.

@FiiO About the Fiio Music, When you are listening any music in third party app (like Tidal) and open Fiio Music, the music stops, is it possible change this for that this not happens?
Maybe you are opening Fiio Music to check something in your library but you don’t want that the music stops…
And another suggestion, is it possible that when you resume the music in any app, the volume changes gradually?

What are benefits of this "user account system" function in FiiO music player using M17?

"2. Your FiiO account is shared across FiiO Music app'" - what does that mean?

1. No other benefits if you are using M17 since M17 supports MQA decoding already.
2. You could use the account in FiiO forum to log in FiiO Music app. Or use the account in FiiO Music app to log in FiiO forum.

Hello, I want to say that if I am listening to music and I open any app (youtube, quobuz, gmail, chrome, neutron...etc) the music continues playing unless I pause it or start playing some other content in one of those applications .
However, when opening the Fiio Music app, the music stops and I think by default it shouldn't stop unless you start playing some local content from the app.

Another doubts:

• Would be possible to implement a gradual volume increase when the music resumes? (for all system)

• Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity of the volume wheel? For me, increase the volume in steps of 1 point is hard.

• When we are in DC mode and plugged, the M17 is completely powered by the DC only in the Enhaced Headphone gain mode or in all gain modes?
