The VU meter has been added for FiiO Music app. Or do you mean any other function instead?

Asking for the manifacturer: when the device it turned off, it doesn't charge. It does charge when turned on. Yesterday i had it go to 0% so it shut itself off. I put it under charge with my batterypack and this morning nothing, it still says "low power" when i try to turn it on. Same when i put it on the power bridck connected to the wall. I even tried using a power-measuring socket and it says once it's connected to the battery charger it draws 0 watts, like it cannot/wont accept being charged. What do i do? i tried different chargers and cables, nothing. Is there a way to force it to recharge? it's ridiculous it turned a 1500 euro player into a brick!

If the device cannot be turned on or charged, it is suggested to follow the tips below to solve it.

1.Try other power adapters and USB cables.
2.The battery of your device may be overused, so it needs to be refreshed through low-current power. Please try to charge the player using the computer for about 30mins, then hold the power+play button for 30s to force a restart.
3. If the above 2 measures cannot help, you can try to leave the device aside for 2 to 3 days, and then charge it again. Because sometimes its system may be stuck, it would return to normal when the device runs out of power.

If the issue still remains, please send email to support@fiio.com for help.
We apologize for any inconvenience in the meantime!

Best regards

If i push the power button, the screen turns on, says "low battery" then turns again off.
I tried LOTS of different cables and chargers, even power bricks, nothing charges it.
I tried using a power measuring device to see if the chargers gave out any current to the M15, none gave it to it, it's like it's completely inert when turned off.
I have never witnessed such a thing, and it's really bothersome.

Have you tried just plug the USB power and leave it for maybe around 20mins?

The same thing happened to me a month back. Battery ran down to 0% and right after that it wouldn't charge no matter what cable or charger I used. In the end, with the charging cable still attached, I followed the instruction in the manual and did a forced reboot using Power + Play (did it a couple of times and held it for quite a while each time), and by some miracle the damned thing sputtered back to life and began charging again. Try this method if you haven't already.

Pressing them together the screen turns on, says low charge, goes back off, and again, and again. Will try doing it for a good 10 minutes straight, let's hope for the best.

Dear friend,

Can you turn on the M15 while connecting to the charger? If not, it seems to be a hardware issue with the battery.

Best regards

the screen turns on. Says ''low battery''. Turn itself off. I tried different chargers and cables. Kept it underncharging a whole night. Always ''low battery'' as if the device cannot detect the charger while off. It is maddening.

You may have tried this but just to be 100% sure:

Plug in to a computer USB port (not a brick or power supply) and leave it overnight or longer. Don't try to turn it on or mess with it until the next day. This often works (really) for batteries that have discharged too low for a normal charger. Nothing to lose by trying.

Might as well do it again. The most puzzling thing is the screen turning on saying ''low battery'' but doesn't care that it IS plugged in. Will keep it hooked to my pc for a day or so, fingers crossed...
