I think the only USB connector on the Cayin is the one to connect it to a PC as a DAC. Are you trying to use M15 as a digital source for the Cayin DAC? You can do that with the coaxial digital cable. But you would still need an extra headphone amplifier .

Nope.. Should work. But as I said earlier, use UAPP and put hardware volume to 10 (100%). I have my M15 connected to. Questyle DAC/AMP via USB out.. And without maximum hardware volume in UAPP it will keep producing hissing... As the UAPP dev explained, this happens with devices that have both digital gain and physical volume control

why are you using M15 like this? any average smartphone would be faster and more reliable than M15.
Because I want my music in 1 place. My M15 carries a 1tb SanDisk with my library and drives my headphones in balanced mode when I am not in my listening room. In my listening room I connect it to my Headphone Amplifier. My M15 therefore is the central source component whichever way I deicide to listen... Even with Bluetooth headphones or in my car I use the M15 as source.

Thank you. It's already done. When I set it to APTX it connects. If I set it to APTX HD after restarting bluetooth, it no longer connects. Or rather it connects but M15 tells me "'connected without reading media".

Hi! I just made my purchase of a Fiio M15. I was an early adopter of mp3 players back in late 1999 or early 2000. I can still remember my precious 16mb CF card player of some type. I've always wanted a high-end one for more modern uses and it just so happens I really need a good headphone amp and DAC for pro audio use...so happy to join the Fiio family I've heard so much about.

Excellent choice, definitely the last dap with 2 ak4499 on board. 
It seems that a firmware upgrade is coming soon, bringing some features from the M11 Plus as the view meter. Any release date Fiio?
Got my M15 last week and I've been really enjoying it since (with my AKG K240 and K702 headphones).
Grabbed the correct case on Amazon and love the design and better feel of the buttons in the case.
Only negative so far, which isn't really FiiO's fault, is that the M15 doesn't work with my car's USB port. I have to use the Bluetooth which then messes with my phone connection. Oh well, better than nothing. Next I have to figure out some of the more advanced features like the wifi server/client setup.
