Did your device freeze after installing a patch from the Play Market?
Try holding the power button + button of the previous track at the same time.
No. I didn't try to install the patch. I have the firmware 1.0.1 installed.
After the installation of 1.0.1 I played music and I had 3 or more successful reboots.
Today after a reboot it hanged in that screen. And the power button seems to have no effect

Hi, please hold the power button and play button for around 10 seconds to force a reboot. If that doesn't work, please contact us by sending emial to support@fiio.com.

Using the patch, Play Market is installed. I downloaded the Device ID program and copied the Google Service Framework number, entered that number into the google device registration bar. But my device is still not certified. What am I doing wrong?

Hi, This method of applying for registration is officially provided by Google, maybe you can wait for some times.

Temped to revist the 1A for hardware and firmware mods but far too many daps on the go here as it is :D

One of the reasons I went with the WM1A was the ability to flip regions and sound signature, now there are custom firmware packages available even better. Great news from Fiio for the M11 & M15. Daps, currently 3 WM1A, ZX300 & M11 Pro, if move forward with a Quloos QA361 or less likely WM1Z the M11 Pro or ZX300 will probably go.

A firmware patch to enable Google Play store in M11/M11PRO/M15 based on the SoC used--Samsung 7872

Download link: http://fiio-file.fiio.net/Google_Play_Update.zip

How to update: Copy the firmware package file to the internal memory or micro SD card; Open "Technical Support" app on the M11/M11PRO/M15->enter the "Firmware Update" menu->select the firmware package file to upgrade.

Note: The Google Play partial library will prompt for updates after connecting to the Wifi for the first time. Restart it so that you could use it normally.

What can be done if receiving 'the device is not certified' in Google Play?

Currently, Google has closed the channel of GMS certification for Android 7.0 devices. So you will be prompted that the device is not certified. You can register your device by following the steps below:
(The deivce without certification could use Google Play normally still, but some apps with high security requirements could not be searched. )

1. Install the DeviceID.apk

2. Click it to get the 'Google Service Framework' and then copy it

3. Go to the following website and fill in the ID copied from step 2
https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/

If you have any questions or advices, please post in this thread or send an email to support@fiio.com

Best regards

Interestingly enough after installing the patch, I did not get any requests for library updates, nor did I get certification messages. It just works fine, updates already installed apps, offered me to update the play store and web services etc.. Almost as if it always has been there. Soundcloud also recognises the Play services and no longer complains.. As if the Play services install was 100% complete from start...

Try installing USB Audio Player Pro, you will not find it in the list, because it is not supported on an uncertified device.

Did you test this? I registered my M11 PRO both via Android Device ID and Google Service Framework ID ... Playprotect status however remains "device is not certified"

I registered my device more than 3 hours ago, but the Play Market still says that my device is not certified. I don’t know what the matter is. WianFiiO says you need to wait, but it seems to me that this does not work.

For those who want to have UAPP on their device, there is a solution to the problem. In order for this method to work, this application must be purchased and installed on your smartphone. You need to download an application called APK Extraktor on your smartphone, install, open the application and use it to extract the APK file of the UAPP application. The resulting UAPP APK file must be downloaded to the M11Pro internal memory and installed. UAPP should see a purchase on the Play Market.

Mind you that UAPP is not 100% functional yet. The developer is working on supporting the M11 PRO but still has some bridges to cross before he's there ... On a good note, he does have an M11 PRO on which he is currently testing ...
