Picked up the M11 pro on Tuesday. Spent about an hour on Tuesday night messing around with it after it was charged. Last night listened to some stuff for a solid hour without interruption. Glad I canceled my HiBy r3 Pro pre order and purchased this... I think the HiBy would have only made me realize I wanted more. Wasn't ready to spend this much to get into this as a noob but I'm glad I did. Listened to something I've heard numerous times before and it was as if I was just hearing it for the first time. Of course... I don't have much of a frame of reference... My last "quality" audio experience was my Galaxy s8 and before that was a Technics rack system I had when I was a teenager. I have a decent set of over ears already... and a pair of akg iems that came with the S8. I guess I'll be looking for a better set of iems at canjam NYC.
I had the R3 Pro and returned it. Outside of the smaller form factor (which I like), it has nothing on the M11 (regular or Pro). The UX is way different as well. I should have looked at reviews better, but the screen is so small the keyboard on the R3 is like an old Nokia cell phone where you have to cycle through a button until you get the letter/character you want...

I shipped the M11 Pro off to @twister6 so he might try some headphone pairings people have been asking about, maybe he has the X7II around (I'm not sure) to give you a brief comparison. But it will probably still be a while before it gets to him.
Yep... The more I think about this the happier I am about canceling the pre order. I feel like I shortly would have realized that I wanted more... Especially after sitting down last night and really having an hour to myself to enjoy some music.
Will the M11Pro be sold in the steel version on AliExpress in the official Fiio store?
I believe it was a minimum run in china only and its been and gone? I tried to get hold of one.
Did you get a device? If not, why?
My contact in hongkong requested from fiio distributers in china and all had gone within days.

How does the sound differ from the m11 pro to R6 pro?
I got the r6 pro now but not too impressed, I do enjoy its vast eq possibilities, but as far as sound in not too impressed.
What difference is the m11 pro to r6 pro sound signature? Also does the m11 pro have extensive eq possibilities?

What do you want from sound? What sound do you like? What exactly did not like the sound of the R6Pro?
