Thanks again corgifall. I allowed all permissions to Google Play Services and am listening from 100% again to see if battery improves at all.

Edit/Update: Again, just an informal "test" but listening for the same length of time as earlier the M11's battery use "improved" by 2%.
Small gains haha

I made the same experience after the 1.0.9 update. The battery graph almost goes down vertically when using. Even with fiio music app and display off. Over night laying on the desk (everything off and closed) it consumes 5% now. Before the update 2% on 24 hours.

Hi Micha111.
Like yours, my M11 also drained 5-6% overnight, powered down. (That's even after granting all permissions to Google PlayServices)
As I mentioned, I did see a very slight improvement in battery life while in use, however.
I may just revert to the previous official FW...

Greetings all,
I am new to head-fi and to the audiophile community in general. I just had a quick question regarding whether i should purchase the fiio q5s (AM3E) to stack with the M11. I already have the M11 and whilst most posts say that q5s is better sounding, is it worth the cost considering that both have the same opamps (op926, correct me if i am wrong). I am not looking for a small improvement, and will shell out the extra 300$ only if there is a good difference in SQ.
My intuition says the improvement in SQ aint worth 300$, however its better to hear it from the experts here.
My apologies if this has been answered in the previous posts. I couldnt find a direct answer on whether on should purchase both the fiio m11 and q5s and stack them.

Thank you and stay safe.

Hi,

You may try to update to this beta firmware and use the 'enter sleep with one click' function to check again: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1615065175446865/permalink/2682696502017055

So it seems the Fiio Music App does not playback in bitperfect, or am I wrong?

I bought UAPP and turned on bitperfect and my flacs sound noticeably better.

If this is the case, is there anyway to enable bitperfect in Fiio Music app? I prefer its interface over UAPP's.

M11 is now enclosed in a stylish sheath by DDhifi.

feels good in the hand.

I think if there is not any turn on button for bitperfec it doesn't do it

As far as I know, Poweramp always resamples. With normal Android it resamples to 16/48, with high-res support selected it resamples to the highest possible rate (192 or 384). There’s no getting around it I’m afraid. Poweramp doesn’t do 1:1 bitperfect. I believe FiiO Music is the only player on the M11 that does that reliably, which is also why it sounds best. Poweramp is not far behind though, the differences are subtle. Of course Poweramp has a much better EQ and interface than FiiO Music, and much better library support.

Did you happen to compare Fiio Music with UAPP (with bitperfect on)? I'm finding the latter to sound better.
