Quick question for the "power users": What is the advantage of choosing the "All To DSD" playback option (besides using more power)? What good does it do to upsample a non DSD file to DSD playback? How could this be any more benefical than upcoverting a 320kbs MP3 file to a Lossless FLAC file?

Any explanation would be welcomed.

Some users feel the output sound is much better after enabling the 'All to DSD' option. But it is a individual preference, you could try out and compare by yourself instead.

Has anyone replaced the USB socket on their M11 ?

For the past couple of years I have had an ongoing issue to do with charging mine. The unit itself has some bizarre behaviour when after several months of working fine it will for no apparent reason refuse to accept a charge even after I have let it go completely flat. To reduce the chance of this happening I am always careful to never let it run out of power but now it can sometimes fail to start charging when I plug a cable in.

Using a magnifying glass I can see that the 'blade' part of the socket has some damage to it's end and it often requires some wiggling of the plug to initiate the charge. I have had similar issues on other devices and know I am on the slippery slope to the point when it will fail completely. I have seen videos on youtube where people have had their phones repaired and it seems that it is no big deal to open a phone up so I am hoping the same thing might be true for my M11.

Also, if it can be opened up and the socket replaced does anyone reckon a battery replacement would be possible at the same time as mine is starting to show it's age ?

I suppose I could just give up on it and buy a replacement but I use it all the time and have got sort of attached to it's idiosyncrasies

Embedded lyrics - they are displaying but every time I try to scroll up so I can read the next ‘page’ they return to the top line so I’m unable to read the lyrics.

Am I doing something wrong or just being a bit dim ?

Reset the database and retried.

Same result.

With the new FiiO M11S (ESS version of M11? ...also with newer screen, SoC, and version of Android) due to be released very soon (this month?), I am curious whether it will retain the two microSD slots that the original M11 had... or if it will instead drop back to just one microSD slot. I know the dual slot has been challenging for FiiO, but I also know from the FiiO-philes group on Facebook that many M11 owners specifically love that it has the two slots.

I hope they will make it smaller. Pocket size able. I tried the new m11 ess to maybe upgrade from my m11. But it is to big. My m11 is a great size.

not sure where to find it in settings to make it work..Does it work with streaming services too?

i have Grell earbuds TWS/1 / that are lhdc compatible but only seem to connect to the M11 Pro via aptx classic.

The M11S is an upgrading model of the M11 launched in 2019. It will also be the model with the lowest price among FiiO's portable players in the next two years. The price, function, performance, and output power are similar to the M11, and the difference from the M11 is mainly in the SoC, display screen and DAC chip. In fact, the M11's market sales and user feedback were pretty good. However, due to supply chain reasons, the SoC, display and DAC chips had to be replaced.
The M11S is expected to be one of the most competitive models within 600 USD, and the first batch has already been reserved by our sales agents. In the words of an agent, FiiO has been absent from this price segment for too long.
