German unlauts (ä,ö,ü for example) are chinese chars....What? NOT yet fixed after "thousand" comments and reported postings?
Yes, that with German Umlauts is annoying, since years ...
Strangely, I don't have any problems with Umlauts. They are clearly displayed in all my albums.

On the Mac I use Android File Transfer application and do everything through there
Since latest update of the macOS, when I open the Android File Transfer, my M11 is not recognized any more. It just says no Android devices connected. I am on Catalina 10.15.7
Which macOS version are you using?

For example - one file:
The orginal tag is "Über Sieben Brücken Musst Du Gehen"
All my files are correctly tagged with MP3Tag.
There are different artists, albums, titles affected...
ALL files are working perfect with other music player (software / hardware / apps)

I'm now on the same version of MacOS. I was on El Capitan on my old iMac and moved over the weekend to a two year old one with Catalina. No issues so far. Installed the app and launched with no issue.

Try removing and reinstalling the app. That has worked for me in the past.

Did you check in Finder? I'm running Big Sur beta and USB devices are showing up in Finder now. I don't need to use the Android File Transfer app anymore (and it doesn't work either). Maybe the latest Catalina changed as well?

hi guys. first post, so go easy with me! I've waded through a number of pages on this thread trying to get to the bottom of this, but I can't seem to find an answer..

I recently purchased an M11 and am looking to couple it with Amazon HD for streaming

thing is - Amazon HD is telling me that that device capability is only 24/48 KHz

this should not be the case!

does anyone else have this combo and can shed any light? I have done a few factory resets, as per posts made earlier in this thread, but to no avail. thanks guys

Either roll back to Amazon Music 16.16.1 or use the latest 16.18.0 . You can get either from Apkpure. Not sure why the Play store isn't upgrading to 16.18.0 yet. Maybe it's a beta? This was a problem for all of the 16.17.x versions on multiple devices.

Same here. I'm experiencing slowness when compared to V2 of the app. It was never as quick as say Poweramp or as smooth, but it does seem slower to me. I thought it would be a cache issue but it hasn't speeded up after use this morning.

Also, still no support for embedded lyrics in track files. Plus a few more crashes when youre too quick around the GUI ( this seems to improve with interim updates so let's hope)
Dear user,

Please send email to support@fiio.com about that.

Best regards

I tested the latest 3.0.1 version of the FiiO app and sorry @FiiO - this app is a SHAME for you!

German unlauts (ä,ö,ü for example) are chinese chars....What? NOT yet fixed after "thousand" comments and reported postings? Is this a joke?

WHERE is the better sorting with the 3.0.1 app?
No genre -> artist -> album sorting, just a simple genre -> album sorting...
I have a genre "techno" with 4509 songs! and many, many artists & albums!
App crashed several times after picking a title of "recent playing".

My question to you: WHAT did you changed with this version? I can't see any updates from 2 -> 3.

Dear user,

If you are having the problem with some certain words in the app, you would need to provide the complete word or the music files to us.

Best regards

I just got my FiiO M11. I've got a couple of questions: all else being equal, should I use it as DAC for my computer or just use it as a DAP with the same music?

Also, when using it as a DAC, the display says "48khz/32bits". I don't know what that means. I'm playing FLAC files from Deezer. Using Vox on my Mac, it says the file is 16 bit/44.1 khz. So I'm just having some trouble figuring out how to maximize sound quality from the Fiio. Any thoughts?

Avoid anything named MP3 and stick to FLAC files. It's a start.
