Curious to ask everyone... but when I first got my M11 the volume knob was buttery smooth and the very next day it started to click one time for every unit of volume. My good friend has an m11 and said it is smooth too. What does everyone’s vol knob do? Click or smooth? This makes me crazy since I liked the smooth feeling and wondering if mine is bad?

As a reference for your future players, and I know I'm only one person, but I won't buy a player without native MQA decode. From what I gather from this thread there are higher-end players in the pipeline for later this year. I'd very seriously consider your high-end players on the strength of current reviews and your reputation as a company if they include this function. Not, the licence fee is quite expensive and there are very few MQA music.
Seems like the clicking feels normal. But unsure why it was smooth the first day. And my friend who owns one has had his for a couple weeks and his is not clicky. So wonder why. They still work perfectly fine.
I wondered if it had a setting for clicky or not clicky. But just started to go crazy over this odd minor thing and wondered if it was all in my head.

a lots of time to us to make decision in the future , anyway, it is not a technical issues but just licence fee and we are not sure whether the MQA will become more popular in the future.

That's good to hear. I've heard the difference, and am not going back unless something better comes up. Hopefully something better does or there's enough adoption to be convincinga lots of time to us to make decision in the future , anyway, it is not a technical issues but just licence fee and we are not sure whether the MQA will become more popular in the future.

I agree, I think I can hear the difference, and whenever available on Tidal I will play a fully unfolded MQA version of a track/album/playlist. Fortunately with UAPP on my LG v30 and through my xDSD, the hardware supports MQA natively. My DAP, the HiBy R6 Pro, does not currently support native MQA, which is odd as the lower end R3 does as of recently. That's good to hear. Of course, there are those who believe that MQA is a devil’s bargain, and that it will lead to higher prices (hardware and tracks/albums) because of the licensing, and just in general a new DRM in disguise...

I am in a similar situation with my G7. I can certainly hear the difference, enough to pay additionally for Tidal on top of Spotify, which is provided by my place of work.I agree, I think I can hear the difference, and whenever available on Tidal I will play a fully unfolded MQA version of a track/album/playlist. A devil's bargain it may be, but I listen to music critically as a professional musician, and am not investing in inferior recordings in hopes that the situation might someday improve. If it does, I'll purchase that next advancement, too.

Likewise, I even emailed UAPP developers to ask if they had a non-Google play version I could get so I could add it to the M11, but they say there is no option for this.
Tidal also sounds nicer on my XDP 30r. I get to see the sample rate of the MQA recording as well. I suspect it unfolds fully as well. No offline though and menu is painful to navigate.

I have both highest subscriptions of Tidal and Qobuz, and switch between them as much for the availability of high bit rate as for their differing catalogs...
I was just sayin’...

I am not sure if there is a workaround... if you buy UAPP on a device with Google Play Store, I wonder if you can then download and install from an apk... given the large number of FiiO users on this thread, someone surely will know if there is a way to use an app that has to be paid for on the Google Play Store...Likewise, I even emailed UAPP developers to ask if they had a non-Google play version I could get so I could add it to the M11, but they say there is no option for this.

If possible, this could be game changing.I am not sure if there is a workaround... if you buy UAPP on a device with Google Play Store, I wonder if you can then download and install from an apk... given the large number of FiiO users on this thread, someone surely will know if there is a way to use an app that has to be paid for on the Google Play Store...
