You'll have to switch sides since the angle of the tube is for over ear so down may point the wrong way unless you flip R and L.
I tried that and it didnt work.

Once you reverse L/R (for a straight down cable orientation), you have to face the opposite direction, for the flip flop to work. :L3000:
You mean like this?

Very bad seal. I wouldn't recommend using it like this. Too risky for something at this price.

#Questionnaire# In terms of the MMCX connector of the earphone cable, which design do you like the most, the L-shaped or the straight type? Please take a vote by choosing one of the following designs. Thank you so much for your time and advice.
1. Straight MMCX connector
Pros: more appropriate to use metal material showing better textures.
Cons: the cable length might look over-long when wearing the earphones; harder to plug and unplug the connector.
2. Arc-shaped MMCX connector
Pros: the cable length would be more appropriate; it would fit your ears in an attractive manner with the over-the-ear type; easier to pull it off from the earphone units.
Cons: difficult to use metal materials

1. Straight (and short). Compatible with more IEMs and wearing styles if you like to cable swap.

Well the IER-Z1R shares some similar sound balancing and stage presentation to the FD5 but that is about where the similarities ends however.

If you do a closer take on each part of the sound spectrum that is where the IER-Z1R is at the level they are. However taken the FD5 as a whole. They fit into a similar larger grand sound segment for earphones which is unique at the price segment.
