I have also never used a Fiio product before, but i was in the market recently for an affordable and thin portable amp. The Fiio A5 came pretty close, but i decided to reduce my headphone inventory recently and i didn't need a portable amp anymore. It'd be good to have a portable amp in case i do decide to purchase a portable headphone again :D

I've never owned a Fiio product. I found out about Fiio through research when i was looking for my first set of headphones. My friend said that i should look into an amp/dac to make them sound better. While looking around i stumbled upon the e10k. I decided to wait for a good time to get it on sale even though it is a good value product at $76.

I have two Fiio products. The first was the X3 III which I used for a couple years. Currently, the Fiio X7 II is my everyday player.

I was looking for a DAC that I could easily take with my laptop when I travel, and Fiio's products seemed to meet those needs while being well-liked by many. Z Reviews' recommendation of the Q1 Mk II particularly influenced me.

Well i was searching for various reviews on amps/dacs and i've found out about the E10K that was quite popular ( first saw it on Zeos's reddit recommendations ), a friend of mine is reselling headphones so i recommended him to get it, he got it and said its really good and recommended it back to me, then after some time saving i finally got my own ( manufacturer refurbished from ebay ).
Then tbh i was kinda disappointed by it, probably because of too many myths that amps/dacs improve audio quality or had just too big expectations since i never heard an external amp/dac before, but other than that it did pretty well job driving the 4XX to loud enough levels ( even sometimes it starts to extremely buzz and stutter/crack, probs got faulty one but its not big deal since it happens mby 1-3 times a day and i think it's started happening after i've installed the ASIO driver from fiio web ).

Now im going to buy the K5 ( because there's no other good option in EU for my budget and it looks pretty sexy).
