I've had my FH7S for about 6 months now and I'm quite impressed with them.
The filter choice is pretty crucial IMHO, I picked the trebles until a couple of months ago...balanced is my ultimate recommendation.
The tips have a big impact, I'd almost say I was shocked as to how much. But going with the HS18 really stopped me thinking about it.
I go to sleep with mine in with no issues, I can't think of a stronger test for comfort.

I've found that these IEMS are particularly well suited to rock, AC/DC etc.
Given the price, I'd say they are a really good starter for anyone interested in progressively improving their gear. I've learnt a lot, and have a better idea of where I'm headed.

Hi, took delivery of the FH5s today. The 3.5mm connector is fitted as standard out the box, but I cannot for the life of me remove that connector to fit the 4.4 balanced connector. I have looked at the instruction booklet and even watched a youtube video. It seems totally immovable, almost like it is welded in place rather than screwed in.
I had another pair of FiiO IEM's and managed to remove the connector easily without any real effort, so unless I am having a real brain freeze I am having real doubts this connector will ever remove. Has anybody else experienced similar, or have any tips to help?

Cheers

Hi Thanks for reply but that is not working for me either. The video you supplied is for FD5 and not FH5s, and the instructions are the opposite. The instructions for my FH5s say to rotate Clockwise, and the video you supplied for FD5 say to rotate ANTI Clockwise. I did try but no success either way that I try to rotate

Cheers

Seems to be tightly screwed on there. It will eventually give. All of Fiios screw on terminations are the same so I would follow the video instructions. The key is the beginning of the video where he holds onto the plug part and then screws downward. Try that, might have to use some muscle at first but once that loosens you should be good.

Finally got it to work. Took a pair of latex gloves to get a decent grip on the gold connector. Now able to detach and attach connectors without exerting excess energy, seems like who or whatever assembled the connector (human or machine?) at the factory was over zealous in attaching the 3.5mm connector. Now a 3 year old child could detach it :relaxed:

Help!!!

My Fiio FH9 left shell appears to be developing a fault. I have noticed the mmcx connection is loose, and the cable has a very slight wobble to it, this is on both the stock cable and the Fiio LC-RE pro cable. The Right side connection has no wobble at all.

Any suggestions how to tighten the connection?
