Ok thanks . I would have to order from Aliexpress as I can’t find them on eBay .
Does the fin part go down towards the back or front of the ear?
Fin goes in concha bowl of rear

For anyone who’s struggling to keep these in their ears I have now tried the far end gear Budloks fins ....at the moment they are working well will have to see how comfortable they are long term. I have managed to fit a foam over the rubber.

Thank you Devodonaldson for your help if I come across the others you mentioned I will try them as well.

The rubber did not alter the sound ?

Not as far as I can tell. There is a small vent at the bottom so I cut a gap to keep this open.
You can also try a few experiments I did that worked well for the most part.
The way I arrange the different setup seen in the pics will depend on how I want to angle the Bud in the ear.

Anyone know how these compare to the VE Zen 2.0? I'm thinking about getting the Zen, but also curious how much better the EM5 could be albeit at a higher price.

I was gathering funds to buy LCD2C again.
I saw EM5 available in India for the first time and I couldn't resists, pulled the trigger as soon as I saw them.

Hope they perform as well as I expected.

By the way I love earbuds way more than IEMs.

Make sure to do the burn in. Otherwise you’ll completely miss the train. I was not a believer in that before i did it on the EM5.

Received EM5 an hour ago.

Without the foams they are not at all staying in my ears.
I have to order some ear hooks and VE EX pack especially for those silicone round sleeves (don't know what they are called exactly). I wish FiiO had included those in the accessories.

I listened to a few very familiar songs and I am really impressed with sound quality especially the bass I never heard on earbuds.

I am already blown away by the sound quality, I think burn in is only going improve my experience.:L3000:

A recent bud convert or should I say reintroduced after many years - they were once upon a time the standard and I had quite a few in the 90s and 00s.

EM5 is my start point, well technically Blur 266 mx150 but they are taking longer to arrive.

I've clocked up about 80 hours on them over the last week, leaving run almost 24/7 and listening at various intervals. These are the best $300 or so I've spent all year, absolutely adore them and they fill a gap in my collection I didn't even know existed.

The last purchase I wrote a review for was the Sennheiser IE900, mostly due to receiving one ahead of launch. EM5 looking like my second in the hope I find the time to write the words it deserves.

This definitely has me curious to try more from FiiO, FD7 in particular.

Will be waiting for it!

I feel its hard getting IEM fans to listen, myself included but @ian91 and I share music taste and both fell for Isabellae for those listening preferences - he said I need to try buds, Blur specifically and I trusted his recommendation and jumped in, definitely not looking back! Looking forward to trying Blur next.

I'll be looking out for this review! Very glad you're enamoured with your buds and they seem to be working so well for your preferences.

I can get a great deal from someone for Fiio EM5 at $200 or the Hifiman HE400SE for $175 both boxed new. I hate the HE400SE style and headband and would prefer the Sundara but its out of my reach. I'm an earbud lover, especially lower priced ones with decent bass such as Vido, Kube V2, EMX500, RY4s, etc. In the grand scheme, especially for bass response could anyone give an insight for the EM5 vs HE400SE (or at least any well known mid range open backed headphones in that price bracket)? Also would the EM5 be a great deal at $200. Btw the main thing that bothers me is the soldered cable - also hate clear silver which is visible when turned green. I'm on a tropical island and with the weather and skin oil all the cables of my earbuds becomes rigid and start to crack where they touch the side of my face. I'm pretty good with a soldering iron though and I'm used to replacing earbuds cable - just hope EM5 is easy to open up.
