I have the FIIO X3 1st gen, sad that it didn't get much love from you guys after releasing( too soon!) the 2nd gen. I quickly compared the new EM3 to my VE Monks yesterday and while they're pretty close, I still prefer the Monks because of their better bass.

I'd like Fiio to work on a micro-driver IEM similar to what Sony did with the MH1C but with less boosted bass, better cable and double-flange eartips. Price point should be around $40 to sit in between EM3 and EX1.
