isn't the es 9219c a low chip for the price band? so i'm thinking of selling btr5k and waiting for btr15.

Dear friend,Thank you.
Is there a way to set my samsung s21's volume to full when connecting the btr7 or do I need to check every time it's connected?
Also, the ldac settings reset to adaptive when the 7's newly connected. Is there a way set quality as the default. I guess that's a question for android phone users.
I tested in my mobile phone as well. After setting the mobile phone's volume to max when connecting to BTR7, the mobile phone's volume will remains in max when connecting in the later time.
You could try to turn off the Aptx-adaptive for BTR7 via the FiiO Control app to see whether it helps:
Best regards

Many thanks. I has tried that already. I think the issue is with Andriod as it used to do reset to LDAC adaptive with my old XM4's as well.

Pretty much all Android phones default to Adaptive, you need to set it to 990/909 every time you connect BT device in Developer options. Many thanks. I has tried that already. I think the issue is with Andriod as it used to do reset to LDAC adaptive with my old XM4's as well.
Or, you can try this app.

Yep, I'm using that app and seems to work fine with my S21.Pretty much all Android phones default to Adaptive, you need to set it to 990/909 every time you connect BT device in Developer options.
Or, you can try this app.
Can have a default profile but also quick set profiles for quick switching as seen on my screen grab below.

Can that app automatically set the desired bit rate, or do I need to use the app every time to manually set it? If manually, how is that better than Developer Options?Yep, I'm using that app and seems to work fine with my S21.

Will detect BT device and auto set all parameters. Not had app long so need to do more checking. Keeps a service running. Can that app automatically set the desired bit rate, or do I need to use the app every time to manually set it? If manually, how is that better than Developer Options?

Actually Sony Xperia will let user set LDAC to SQ Priority ( = 990kbps) and stay that way even after restart.Pretty much all Android phones default to Adaptive, you need to set it to 990/909 every time you connect BT device in Developer options.

Yes, don't use the app on my NW-A307 or Xperia 1 IV when I had one. They have option in Sound settings.Actually Sony Xperia will let user set LDAC to SQ Priority ( = 990kbps) and stay that way even after restart.
The app is also good because its quick to swap profile if Best (990) introduces instability issues if moving about and can easy drop to Balanced (660) with simple touch of profile on Home screeen. These are cofigured at 96/32.
I also can choose to use aptX with its 44.1/16 setting if just using Spotify. Though not sure if best to leave at just LDAC 660.

I think that the last versions of android introduced a new LDAC adaptive default option, which is supposed to use 990Kpbs every time BT transmission quality is sufficient with the BT device...
I tried myself with my Z Fold 4 and I couldn't catch any sound quality difference between the new LDAC Adaptive option and manually forced LDAC at 990Kpbs, though there is a significant SQ difference with AAC mode and even worse with LDAC set à 330Kbps => so, I suppose there is no need to set manually the Codec at 990Kbps as it is probably already transmitting at that speed with LDAC Adaptive and all recent devices (BT 5.X and even BT4.2 with my NW-WM1A)

@FiiO I know it's been mentioned before, but I'd really like to be able to rename custom eq presets

With the app I have mine default to LDAC 660 Balanced when it detects my BTR7 as I mostly use Spotify on mobile and only switch to 990 Quality if listening to my own files with UAPP with HiRes Audio BT option ticked.I think that the last versions of android introduced a new LDAC adaptive default option, which is supposed to use 990Kpbs every time BT transmission quality is sufficient with the BT device...

I just tested again and from full off the BT Codec app sets my default automatically when BTR7 connected.

Yep, LG V30 even used 990kbps as a default, but it's as rare as a white crow.Actually Sony Xperia will let user set LDAC to SQ Priority ( = 990kbps) and stay that way even after restart.

Thanks for the kind feedback. And we have reported to the product manager for assessing before as well.
Best regards
