I have had the BTR7 for about a week
The sound surprised me how good it was in balanced mode that good that I am now considering selling my iFi zen can.
It is well built only the screen is a little small and I need my glasses on to read it(glass and headphones bad combo).
I am also dyslexic and on the app the pop up notice is not on long enough for me to read it.
My only problem is connecting my MacBook Air M2 via Bluetooth!
It will connect for 1min then the connection drop out sometimes it won't connect at all
My iPhone X is fine no problem.
I have tried it with all my headphones
The grado 325x was the best results the Rsx1 make it sound a little bit harsh in the treble but not bad.

Dear friend,

Please try to clear the pairing by holding the volume +&- button at the same time for about 5s, then reconnect again for check? Does the issue with MAC remain?

Best regards

Thank your for you reply
Excellent customer service
I did what you said but I also opened terminal on my Mac and typed. sudo pkill bluetoothd
this stops/resets the bluetooth app on the Mac
Then I restarted my Mac and BTR7 and behold we now have a Bluetooth connection.
Happy days

Thank you Ichos for the reply, very helpful!😁
Oops, now I saw asking about the USB C port

Well, unfortunately the answer is still NO!

I guess that you want Bluetooth input to USB out?

Then try the Shanling M0 Pro.

Hi,

Can the FiiO BTR7 output digital signal from the USB-C port? to feed to Chord Mojo 2 for example.

Thank you.

Ahh bummer, so with the M0 Pro i can Bluetooth from my iPhone to the M0 then with the USB output to the Mojo 2? Thank you.
Dear friend,

The BTR7 could not output via the USB.
But you could connect the BTR7 to the iPhone via Bluetooth or USB and enjoy music via 3.5mm/4.4mm headphone directly.

Best regards

I got my BTR7 today, and used it for first time with variations and a android phone. I plugged usb-c to usb-c cable to BTR7 and my phone, gave first permission to UAPP player, then Tidal. When i started streaming music, then it was alot of lag. Like music stopped every 2 second. I removed the cable, and it went over to bluetooth mode and stopped laging. I have a OnePlus 7T android phone.

Anybody know why its buffering and lagging alot when used as a dongle? And what settings should i turn on and off in UAPP, Fiio APP and Tidal to optimize the sound in BT and DAC mode.

If I understand what you wrote, I wonder if the issue is you gave both UAPP and Tidal exclusive per,iss ion. If you wanted to only use Tidal, when you first plug in the BTR7, just touch the screen anywhere except the dialog asking to give permission for UAPP, which will simply dismiss that dialog. Then when you start Tidal, accept giving Tidal exclusive access. I hope this helps you!

Tidal is within UAPP, just like Qobuz. External app will not use HD USB driver, you need to use UAPP.
If all fails, just uninstall UAPP and install new one from the scratch, then use default settings and just enable bitperfect.

You are of course correct, Tidal can be accessed from within UAPP. I have had UAPP for several years so I am familiar with it! :)

As I mentioned in my response to @vafler86 , I am not sure I understood the specific question. It sounded like they were trying to give the native Tidal app exclusive access after first granting exclusive control to the UAPP app. I was speculating that if this is the case they might want to try dismissing the prompt to grant UAPP exclusive access rather than granting it. Just an experiment.
