[FiiO BTR17/BTR7] True Lossless Bluetooth, Portable Bluetooth DAC and Headphone Amplifier BTR17 Is Officially Released!

Just thought I’d let everyone know that my BTR7 is cooked. It stopped working after 16 months of fairly heavy use and just went black while listening to audio. I can see that it is taking 2-4 watts of charge when I plug it in but it will not turn on…. reset or otherwise. I have many FIIO products and stand by them but this is my first premature failure from a FIIO device. I already ordered a BTR17 to replace it because these devices are awesome. But still. 😢

How strange. It was completely dead and bricked and I tried every day to turn it on. Then it simply turned on today. 😳

best thing to do is to sell the BTR17 in that case.
Just scroll back to your own comments in this thread: Fiio is not listening to you. Vote with your money. There are other dac/amps out there.
Btr17 would literally be a perfect device if it could double click the volume wheel to change tracks , it’s a very important thing to me and others I know in the hobby that love Fiio, and I’m hoping they’re listening. Sorry if speaking up disturbs you my friend.

I basically reported two bugs here, and they were not acknowledged or fixed, so...

so as it stands now btr17 is not a perfect device and fiio's track record is not in their favour. I'm not disturbed and you are not as well.

Is there a similar form factor device that will give you this feature? If so, then you should probably switch to that. If not, I have a feeling you’re not going to get much traction with FiiO just continuously bringing this up on Head-Fi. If this was going to generate a groundswell of similar demand, by now it would have based on all your postings. But, it seems to have relatively lukewarm support here. I think everyone would be happy for you if you got this feature, but so far you seem to be alone in the level of passion for it. Maybe switch to PM with the Head-Fi reps?

I would like the double-click wheel too. It just feels more intuitive. :beerchug:

Many people in the hobby wish for the feature to double click the volume wheel to change tracks. I’m just the one speaking up about it.

There is an official contact form on Fiio web site ("Get help" in right bottom corner of the screen), perhaps you can get better traction there instead of spamming this thread.
After all Fiio reps on this board just delegate requests (they see fit) to the source, why not skip middle man.

I don’t doubt others would find use for the feature, and I may as well. I’m just saying you seem to have a passion for this feature that far outstrips the desires of others. Maybe discussing directly with FiiO would serve you better.
