[FIIO BT11] Portable High-Res Bluetooth Transmitter Is Officially Released!

So how did you get the FiiO control app to work and not crash? How are you able to select codecs from within the app? I'm using Galaxy S23+ and the control app (latest version) crashes and even before it crashes there is no option to select codec.
I didn't do anything special, I'm using the latest available version of FiiO Control and can select/deselect codecs just fine. It's never crashed on me, but as you can see in the screenshot it thinks the BT11 is a BTR3 in the codec selection screen.

FiiO Control in general is in a poor state on Android. It's very slow at times, and when editing PEQ bands for devices like the BTR13 and BTR15 it sometimes doesn't save, or is just painfully slow. I've replicated this experience on a Pixel 6 that I have. When using FiiO Control on my iPad Pro I have no issues at all.

I'm not sure why you would use BT11 for LDAC when your phone supports LDAC natively?
I don't use it regularly with my Fold 5, mainly just for testing and to replicate any issues I see on here. Use it mostly on my iPad and my PC and laptop.

I'm sorry, Friends

BT11 is experiencing some difficulties with the new firmware update right now and we're still working on them.

For now, the BT11 is still the only device based on the QCC chip that supports LDAC transmitting.

Until now, we have had very limited support from external sources. We haven't given up though, and our engineers are working on ways to resolve these issues.

The things we want to do or are doing so far are:
1, We are stepping up to make a web version of the adaptation site for firmware upgrade. If we can, we will take some of the features in the app and make them available on the web page. This will take some time, among other things, the firmware upgrade function is now complete, when there is a new firmware, we will publish the link and tell people how to upgrade.

2, The BT11 and APP as I said earlier, adds support for pairing lists, LE AUDIO, LOSSLESS, Digital broadcasting Model, etc., as well as a choice of three different bit rates for LDAC. But unfortunately, we are now experiencing some technical difficulties that are difficult to solve right now. The engineers are working on it. It will take time.

BT11 is the first product that dares to challenge some new technologies, and in fact, it is not useless.

Please give us some more time, I think it will be a very good product after we have gone through this time and solved these problems.

I will try to reply to some of your complaints here as little as possible, I don't want to add to your boredom.
We have stopped production orders for the new BT11, although there are still a very large number of people and agents buying it now, we don't want to cause any more disruption.

Please believe that with time, our engineers and will have a way to work with the chip makers to solve this problem.

Best Regards.

It sounds like "the world's first Aptx-LL compatible dongle" will start to support Aptx-LL when they are not the "the first" any longer.

Very good @FiiO Willson thank you for your response and for saying how the situation is with this product.
It is a shame that the product does not work correctly because it looks very good, but when I receive the order, much to my regret, I will process the return, logically I am not going to be left with a product that does not work correctly and without knowing if it will actually work in At some point, I will keep an eye on the forum if everything is resolved because I will buy it again without problems. Given the problem that the product has for people who have missed the return period, it would be a great gesture to allow people who want to return the product.

So you’re not providing refunds for those having problems?

I can achieve the same screenshot with my S23+ but it means nothing, it's connected to the phone Not to an external device like the BTR17, as I said it does not work.

Sorry I'm not really understanding, what exactly is the connection chain you're trying to achieve that isn't working?

And it is very strange that you are trying to achieve what is shown in the screenshot.
For example, if you have headphones or a receiver that supports LDAC, then select LDAC and that's it.
If you want to switch between different receivers all the time, bt11 is not the best for that.

To pair bt11 with the receiver, wait for the blue and red lights to flash and put the receiver (headphones) into pairing mode.

I'm trying to connect the BT11 to my BTR17 using Aptx lossless, it will not pair with the BTR17. That screenshot only shows that the BT11 s connected via Bluetooth to my phone not to the BTR17.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I should be able to plug the BT11 into the USB C port of my phone and transmit audio to my BTR17 using the Aptx lossless codec. As it stands if I turn off the Bluetooth on my phone the BT11 will not pair with the BTR17, it goes into pairing mode but doesn't actually pair with anything. Hopefully what I'm saying makes sense now?

Thank you for the clarification, I understand what you are trying to achieve now.

Yes, you should be able to do exactly as you describe, though about aptX Lossless it's impossible to know if it's actually connected using that codec since FiiO lumps that in with aptX Adaptive. Anyways, I did some testing with my BTR13 and I was able to pair them together on the first try for aptX Adaptive/Lossless, with the BT11 connected to my Fold 5. For playing audio I disabled Bluetooth on my phone just to be sure the audio was being played through the BT11.

When you are trying to pair the BT11 and BTR17 together, are both in pairing mode at the same time?

Isn't the BT11 acting like a sound card, basically? If so, then yes, the BT of the smartphone should not be taken into consideration, and might as well be turned off.

Myself I'm waiting for an eppfun AK3040Pro MAX dongle, which will be the same, acting like a sound card. The exception is that this one doesn't have an app, just a button that is used to make change the currently used BT codec, and it already has LE support, etc. It should arrive tomorrow, I'm really interested in playing games via LC3 low latency using the Sony WF-1000XM5 buds.

I have turned off the Bluetooth from my phone and tried to pair the BT11 to the BTR17 to no avail, both in pairing mode. There is however a firmware update for the BTR17 which I might try when I finish work.

Effectively yes the BT11 is acting like a Bluetooth sound card it takes the audio signal from your phones USB C port and transmits the audio to your chosen headphones or to my my case the BTR17 in a choice of codecs. You should not need to pair the BT11 to your phone except maybe for firmware updates.

Not even that, it seems that for BT11, this stuff should be managed directly via USB - maybe I'm mistaken?

I was never able to pair/connect my WF-1000XM5 to the BT-W6 using LC3. I hope you have better luck with the eppfun.
