[FIIO BT11] Portable High-Res Bluetooth Transmitter Is Officially Released!

Jan 19, 2025 at 12:35 PM Post #676 of 1,281
Good friends, I just purchased the BT11 through Aliexpress on the official website and I am waiting for the package to arrive. Before placing the order I did not know about all the errors that this product is presenting, I honestly did not think that a simple Bluetooth transmitter could have these problems that are being reported by both customers and reviews.
The device will arrive at the end of January, if an update does not arrive that solves all the problems and the product is fully functional I will have to return it, a shame because this transmitter is very complete but if it does not work then...
What I don't understand is that they put a product on the market if it is not well polished, with these things the only thing that
What you achieve is damaging the brand image and customers who, if it is the first product they buy, will never buy anything from this brand again. It is better to release fewer products but the ones you have that work perfectly and with good support and the sales come more and on their own.

Hello everyone. I re-registered specifically because of bt 11. I fought with him, but I won. It works with my Samsung!! There are a few things that you have to take into account. But then it works. What I haven't figured out yet is why he sometimes has sound problems. But then I just pull it out and plug it back in.
Many greetings, Bernd

I'm sorry, Friends

BT11 is experiencing some difficulties with the new firmware update right now and we're still working on them.

For now, the BT11 is still the only device based on the QCC chip that supports LDAC transmitting.

Until now, we have had very limited support from external sources. We haven't given up though, and our engineers are working on ways to resolve these issues.

The things we want to do or are doing so far are:
1, We are stepping up to make a web version of the adaptation site for firmware upgrade. If we can, we will take some of the features in the app and make them available on the web page. This will take some time, among other things, the firmware upgrade function is now complete, when there is a new firmware, we will publish the link and tell people how to upgrade.

2, The BT11 and APP as I said earlier, adds support for pairing lists, LE AUDIO, LOSSLESS, Digital broadcasting Model, etc., as well as a choice of three different bit rates for LDAC. But unfortunately, we are now experiencing some technical difficulties that are difficult to solve right now. The engineers are working on it. It will take time.

BT11 is the first product that dares to challenge some new technologies, and in fact, it is not useless.

Please give us some more time, I think it will be a very good product after we have gone through this time and solved these problems.

I will try to reply to some of your complaints here as little as possible, I don't want to add to your boredom.
We have stopped production orders for the new BT11, although there are still a very large number of people and agents buying it now, we don't want to cause any more disruption.

Please believe that with time, our engineers and will have a way to work with the chip makers to solve this problem.

Best Regards.

Whilst I greatly appreciate the fact that you and your team are working hard to resolve the issues with the BT11 I cannot understand why FiiO have particularly lately been releasing products that simply are not finished, or more to the point production ready. Unfortunately especially for new customers not familiar with FiiO as a brand this is doing damage to your brand reputation. BT11 is just one example, the S15 streamer is yet another example which nobody from FiiO has even bothered to reply to the issues raised by us early adopters.

It's sad. But as a developer, I understand.
Maybe, as an alternative, you can release firmware with LDAC disabled for those who want to get the most and who are not so critical of LDAC?

Personally purchased BT11 to try out the aptX Lossless codec with the BTR17, as it stands the product is basically useless right now, at least it is on a compatible Android phone.

Would it make sense to release a firmware update for the features that are working, rather than waiting for everything to be ready?

Step by step you can achieve your goal! This is a reasonable approach.
We worked on one function, immediately released a new update. And so on we move along the list of critical tasks, until the problems are completely completed.
The product is really in demand!

As a potential client, I am interested in stable and high-quality operation of the Bluetooth codecs aptxHD audio and aptx Adaptive audio for an Android device, since I have a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra phone, which does not support them, but supports LDAC.

Is this still worth getting for the LDAC mode or still one too many problems?

For me it works great. But BT11 is connected via bluetooth ONLY to BTR17, I even deleted bt11 from paired devices on my phone after setting it up.
How about without the BTR 17 and using the Stax Spirit S5 or Sony WH-1000XM5?

I use the BT11 with my Sony WH-1000XM5 and it works great, LDAC connection has been solid. Actually, of all the Bluetooth headphones/earbuds I have, it's the least problematic one with the BT11.

With an Android phone? I can't even change the codec from SBC.

Yes, works fine with my Galaxy Fold 5.
So how did you get the FiiO control app to work and not crash? How are you able to select codecs from within the app? I'm using Galaxy S23+ and the control app (latest version) crashes and even before it crashes there is no option to select codec. I'm not sure why you would use BT11 for LDAC when your phone supports LDAC natively?
