FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions
Aug 11, 2019 at 10:48 AM Post #2,806 of 5,201
I would agree that I don't want to pay $430 to be the third owner of the S8F.

I signed up for the Fearless US Head-fi tour recently thanks to the information posted here in this thread. However, the participant list is long so it would take quite a while before I can have the chance to try the Fearless lineup. Although the tour package contains about 10 different Fearless models. It will be worth the wait.

Not sure if that is me or someone else but my review will be in maybe 2 days. It is quite impressive and is my favorite Fearless. I will explain my opinion with mostly 70's rock and 90's hip hop
Looking forward to a comparison to the legend x. Ever since I had the legend x on tour I've craved that bass response.... My RHA cl2 and fearless S8f just aren't on the same level as the legend x when it comes to bass impact. Other hybrids I've heard Like the ibasso it04 didn't even come close either. So it'd be great to have an affordable-ish alternative to the legend x.

I recently got the Bravado and the bass is unlike anything I've ever heard or thought possible in an iem. I've been tempted to save and sell everything else to get a Legend X but I'm really curious about the Roland. I'm wondering how it compares straight across the board not taking into account the obvious value of the Roland.

I hesitated a lot beetween the 8F or the Roland.
I actually had the earsonics purple,em10 and the warbler prelude.
I want to try this New type of hybrid iems.
So I m really interested in your review.
Perhaps you could convince me to buy the Roland.

Personal opinion- that Roland graph is forged from purest win.

It's shallow DF neutral with slightly lifted bass (5dB from 400Hz to 20Hz) and consistent all the way through. I do wonder about the resolution of those graphs, but the overall picture is pretty much my ideal profile.

Not gonna buy s8f for $430 as the third user for sure.
I understand the feeling but these being earphones, assuming they weren't treated really rough I think they last through multiple ownerships pretty well. Luckily I was able to order a pair last week with custom plate, cable, logos directly from them for less than that utilizing their local sale event.

Never want to bother with EQ so I sold the iSine20. I am sure there are others who would enjoy eq'ing.

I did contact Audeze and asked them if they plan to release a cipher cable for none iOS devices. Their answer was no, unfortunately. Comfort was the other consideration. I can never wear iSine20 for more than 20 minutes. They hurt my ears. Therefore I am more interested in earphones like Fearless and qdc which they fit more comfortably for long term listening and I don't need to eq them.
i mean... you can literally use the cipher cable on android. I just use with anker lightning to usbC. Only $30. As i said works flawlessly. Not sure with "Never want to bother with EQ so I sold the iSine20" if it's actually the same thing with android.

Part of your ideal profile have a pit from 5-7k? I need to see an independent party graph. Why do they present graph like this? With such resolution?

Where did you get this, reliable ?
They're on the Linsoul site, and the Roland chart is the same chart that was shared with me in a conversation with Linsoul a couple weeks ago.

I suspect the dip is narrower than displayed due to resolution, given feedback from Chris and a couple others I've heard from, but I'll find out for myself this week either way.

Even a low resolution FR can give a general idea of what's going on.
