Ugh, biggest problem with most IEMs. Recessed male vocals. When the majority of my album is classic rock. -.-;

@twiceboss if you’re looking for technicalities, I don’t think you’ll like the FH7. The best thing about it oddly, while the SQ is very average, is that it’s a great commuter IEM with its comfort, build quality and extremely nice cable. I regularly use mine more than my other IEMs because I don’t need to worry about babying them.
That's a bummer. I just a closed iem to complement my isine20.
So i guess s8f?

If the iSine 20 sounds anything like the LCDi4 (I’ve demo’d it and it’s one of my favourite IEMs), I would actually recommend the Moondrop A8. You get the same diffuse field Harman sound.

After spending 2 weeks with S8F I can definitely say that I’ll never ever sell them. I drive them with R6Pro and I never heard any other headphone playing classical\orchestra, female vocals and some guitar albums like they do it. Simply outstanding! You get used to the details very quickly and there is no way back :) at least for me. I sold IE800, final E5000, DM7 and SE846 when I bought S8F. They do everything better except SE846’s hard hitting bass.
I had high hopes for DM7 but I don’t understand what HBB liked in them. For me, they were no go due to that terrible 6.8Khz spike, some mud in lows and I felt that some mid frequencies were severely cut off by either bad crossover or driver implementation. I liked HBB recommended TFZ no.3 for their sub bass and details for the price but I’m giving them to my daughter as I wish they had better balance between sub and mid bass and had more mids in them.
Now I’m looking to complement S8F with either hybrids or BAs for on the go with slightly recessed highs, forward mids and hard hitting bass which is balanced across sub and mid bass. Do you think s6Rui would be a great candidate? I am considering Oriveti OH500 based on reviews. Any advice? Thanks!

Whelp, I was going to get a set of S8 Pro customs to replace my universals, I loved them so much. Logically then, for I am a very logical person, I ordered the Roland.

Should be here sometime next week.

Where exactly did you order the Roland's from? I'm VERY interested in trying a Tri-brid IEM and Fearless seems like a GREAT place to start!!!

Oh A8 is DF. Not sure about s8f, it looks like harman with boosted bass. But yeh, eff that fr. I always read fr, but at the end, demo is the most important part. Decay, sound separation, stage, imaging, cant be shown in fr.

Oh yeh, also. Let me know about the comparison between A8 and Andros. At least i had an andro to recall. And yes isine20 is almost the same with lcdi4. Just more layering on lcdi4. I eq my isine after using dsp on android bring more 16khz. It totally adds more details layering. Kinda bummer that the cable isnt the best for travelling.. stiff af

A8 is certainly Harman, not DF. S8F is similar to DF with boosted bass, though is does depart far more significantly from that FR than the S6 Pro or Etys do.

Linsoul, and I agree. Fearless isn't perfect, but their S8 Pro remains the best-rounded IEM I've ever heard. Between that, HBB's feedback and... other things, I am looking forward to a good listen :)

S8F are highly resolving, with very good highs extension and not sibilant at the same time, I am treble sensitive and can’t stand any sibilance. IE800 were treble murder for me.
They are on a brighter side with elevated 4Khz + region, however, at the same time the elevation was implemented with superb coherence and without rollercoaster, this is what I love about them. They do have great mids and enough bass for the majority of my music but I definitely want to complement them with warm signature IEMs for on the go Pop stuff or Pierre Bensusan or Dominic Miller’s albums where guitar benefits from added lower mids. However S8F are reproducing darker recorded Antonio Forcione guitars or vocal of Halie Loren the best I ever heard. I never use EQ

thanks! I hope someones here wanna let go her/his s8f so i can get it from them.

oh yeh, if you are okay with open back iem. Try isine20, but it needs eq or cipher. After having DSP+EQ, so far it's the best iem ive ever heard in terms of staging and layering. The vocals sound so crispy and clear. Highs smooth with details. I eq to make it more sparkle to my ears.
