The tips they send are fine, but my ears are just crazy weird.

For cables, I'd go with an Electro Acousti. They make their cables really well out of really great stuff. Honorable mention is anything by Gu.Craftsman (more $) or Forza (more$ and stiffer).

My favorite Roland cable:

Second favorite:

Third (best looking and near your price range):

Thank you very much for your suggestions I appreciate it. In 3 days ali express is having a sale so I'll take one.
Tell me please why is Gu.Craftsman your favourite? If I'm spending this much on a iem cable should be equally good. I have to admit I'm not a fan of ear hooks and especially those black ones just look weird. I'll pass on Forza if it's stiffer. So it's either Gu.Craftsman or Electro Acousti, or even quite cheeper ISN Audio.
Last two I like cause of thickness, no earhooks, but I'm curious why craftsman is your favourite? I don't believe cables differentiate much sonically, maybe only quality of connectors and look and feel of the cable.

My budget is stretching a lot with Roland and cable, but I want to make sure I get the best there is and be done with it. Hopefully no more dumping money into this endless quest for perfect iems, there are always going to be better ones. This hobby I love it but it's just too expensive.

Gu crafts is pretty customizable, i contacted the seller and got a cable with no ear guides, also i got it with a right angle 4.4mm, so you can contact him for any changes and ask him about it.

Shoot, I'm doing it. Dang thing fits my preferences like a tailored suit.
Thanks a lot! It's very encouraging because I bought S8p based on 3 impressions: HBB obviously, yours and MohammedSonic from BGGAR YOUTUBE channel commenters(who compared S8p stage with LCD2)
Your impression by far was most informative of the 3.
I ordered Roland but made a mistake of choosing Silver that was not in stock because Blue was by far most popular. While chatting with Linsoul rep having seen pics you posted - switched my order to blue too.
Could you comment on isolation? Does it compare with S8p?

Sold my s8f after I got my rha cl2.
Does anyone here have the cl2 who can compare them to the fearless Roland?
I love my CL2 , so much I bought a second pair ($450 on Amazon new). But always looking for better or better/different.
I liked the s8f. But compared to the cl2 the bass on the s8f just sounded too artificial. The details on the s8f may be a hair ahead of the cl2, but barely. The sound stage and imaging was far better on the cl2.
Some hate the cl2 but with the right tips and fit they are amazing. I can see that with the wrong fit how they could lack bass impact and sound a bit tinny.
Anyway if the Roland can compare w the cl2 and best it in certain areas I'll give it a shot. Thanks in advance
CL2 will lack bass impact if you leave too much air volume between nozzle and eardrum. Pressing them deep inside my ears and also using triple flanges I could see a potential but alas, my ear canals are too long. I agree though that they produce one of the most natural tonality. I will be able to compare it only from memory next week, but from what I read so far, mid to top end Roland will be superior. As for the bass, it depends whether you prefer natural or DD Rumble.

I just got some Spiral Dots, and they work perfectly here. Bass impact and isolation went up pretty substantially.
I usually wear Medium large, went a size smaller.

Gu Craftsman indeed produces great cables. I bought the gold plated silver cable from them and it sounds pretty amazing

Yall think Fearless is good enough to properly fo custom molds? Wasn’t there one guy before who got a custom S8P and it didnt fit? A lot of hassel to send a pair back if it turns out fit isnt right...plus no guarantee theyll get it right second time around...
Am considering it but...

I think that the complaint was that they were a bit tight, which seems to be a thing with 3-d printed customs. I imagine you could ask for them to be a bit more relaxed in the fit.

Hawaiibadboy, how would you compare the sound quality and technicalities of the Roland vs EX1000? You mentioned than bass/midds are on par if I remember correctly. I have the Sony and wondering if Roland is an actual upgrade

Bass and mids are clean and clear and treble is more forgiving without any perceived loss of details. My EX1000 are thrice re-cabled and one of my favorites but Roland is a step up for my ears.

Thanks for the reply! I enjoy my EX1000 quite a bit with well recorded music. And I really don’t mind the stock cable. I think I’ll sit on my $ a little longer
