favourite rap/hiphop albums

Hip hop is my main genre, but i am really picky aka i listen to the classics and what most would call "alternative hip hop", it's way too hard to pick a few when i have dozens of favorites. 80s, 90s and the first half of the 00's was the best hip hop imo, the past 5 years have been mostly garbage aside from the classic artists who continue to release great albums.

Black Star - Mos Def and Talib Kweli are Black Star
Reflection Eternal - Train of Thought
Mos Def - Black on Both Sides
Talib Kweli - Quality
Common - Like Water for Chocolate
Pharoahe Monch - Internal Affairs
Soundbombing 2 - Mixtape
Skillz - From Where???
Binary Star - Masters of the Universe
Arrested Development - 3 Years, 5 Months & 2 Days in the Life Of...
Del tha Funkee Homosapien - Both Sides of the Brain
Souls of Mischief - 93 'til Infinity
Jedi Mind Tricks - Violent by Design
Jedi Mind Tricks - Visions of Gandhi
Hieroglyphics - 3rd Eye Vision
A Tribe Called Quest - People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm
Deltron 3030 - s/t
Nas - Illmatic
Notorious BIG - Ready to die
Wu Tang Clan - 36 chambers
Wu Tang Clan - Forever
Raekwon - Only built for cuban linx
Raekwon - Only built for cuban linx II
Ghostface Killah - Ironman
Ghostface Killah - Supreme Clientele

Ill add more later

I feel the same way about metal and most heavy rock, but i don't spam their threads with it.

Thanks! I would love to hear Gab live some time... It's great to hear he's a good live performer. Even my dad (classic rock/classical kinda guy) sort of admitted Blackalicious' cool because they're just genuinely fun to listen to.

Aesop Rock - None Shall Pass
Latyrx - Lady Don't Take No (and some of their newer releases if you can find them like...)
Latyrx - 8 Point Agenda (single)
Latyrx - Storm Warning (AMAZING single)
Nextmen - Amongst the Madness
MC Solaar (French rapper that likes to use symphonies in his songs)
Jungle Brothers - (anything after the 90's)

'Run DMC' by Run DMC, 'Rock Box' is unbeatable in my opinion. I also have 'Raising Hell' and should add the third and fourth album to my collection some time.

'Radio' by LL Cool J.
