I would doubt it. Not New Jersey. That is pretty irresponsible just taking guesses like that. What makes you think this is even a head-fier?

I'm now pretty sure that I just got RIPPED OFF for $286 - the seller does NOT respond to any emails and seems to have disappeared with my money AND the headphones, which I am now thinking were fake to begin with. Any suggestions as to what I should do - $266 is a LOT OF CASH to lose!!

It's been two days? Give it another day or two before you file a complaint for your money back. People tend to be busy over the weekend!

Its father's day weekend the person is probably with their parents, wait til monday.

It was not a negative about the seller being a head-fi member, the name was similar so I thought it could be a possibility, either way, don't stress out til after monday night. Some people visit their families, and don't run around checking email on holidays, specially since some people do buy it now but dont pay for a day or 2. You should be fine

I don't think had any bad intentions, but you really need to start thinking before you post. You guessed it was me and posted my name, and you guessed it was a head-fier, with absolutely zero evidence, and posted that it was. If the sale, in fact, goes bad (hopefully, it will be fine), you've dragged both me and head-fi into it just because you wanted to post something without thinking first about the possible effects of your words. Uncool.

OP, as others have said, give it a couple days. I hope everything works out. The ESW10s are really nice headphones, and you did get them for a bargain.

I guess I forgo to choose the option where you get an email after people respond to your post...in short, CRAPPPPPP!!!!! I should have bought them when I had the chance. Oh well, I will get the ibasso D10 DAC for my ES7, instead, that should improve the sound dramatically.

dang, take it easy.

There's a thing called buyer protection

paypal's buyer protection is a joke.

paypal won't give you any money if they can't get ahold of it.
This means that if it was transferred into a bank account and withdrawn, then paypal will do nothing for you.

This is why I -always- pay for things with a credit card if I am going to use paypal... Because the credit card company can issue a charge back if needed. They have your ass much more than paypal ever will.

In any case, I would give it until Tuesday night before you start worrying.
It's very possible that the seller just was busy over the weekend and forgot to check their e-mail.
It's also possible that they just didn't want to deal with it at the moment.
That doesn't mean it is a fraudulent seller, and it will likely be fine.

Well - despite absolutely NO communication from the seller for the past 7 days - the ESW10Japan's came in today (accompanied by a ridiculous brokerage and customs fee of $75)....oh well, I still think I got a good deal with total cost of $360 for these phenomenal phones. They are literally brand new as advertised, used for less than an hour, the cord still wrapped. Considering the circumstances I just sat down and put on (in memory of) Michael Jackson's 25th Anniversary Edition of Thriller... and AM I EVER IMPRESSED!. Clean, deep and tight bass slam that you can literally feel; rich, forward and liquidy mids; sparkling and clean highs; absolutely no sibilance and an expansive transparent soundstage with superb instrument separation.
These headphones are worth every penny of the listed price of $650 to $800 - and I'm sure that they will most certainly tide me over while I'm waiting for my also limited edition Grado HF-2s.
By far (with my very limited experience) the BEST closed cans I have ever heard.

I still love the sound sig more than any other can, the only fault is the lack of bass impact, if it had that like the Denons it would be my ending point.

I need help as well authenticating my friend's purchase for her. I lost the article with comparison pictures, but I know one thing's for sure. The pouch she was supposed to recieve is supposed to be a plush material and not pleather. And isn't this model produced in Japan, not AT Taiwan? Please help verify for me so I can make a case to get her money back. I told her not to buy but she wanted to risk it, ugh, even after the threads I sent her.
