Yeah, his impressions reflect my own. I went to sleep with them on last night and had trouble falling asleep because of how long I wanted to listen.

It'll take some more direct comparisons to tell how they really perform on a technical level, but at least from a tuning perspective these are impeccable. Haven't even bothered tip rolling yet because the default sound is so pleasant. Sound signature is subjective but it's really hard to imagine anyone actively disliking the FA7's sound.

Like hawaiibadboy said, the FH5 were a bit too forward with the vocals out of the box for me, and I also thought they were a bit more ''soft' sounding. Laid back in the treble, so that they were a smooth listen once you got used to mids. That's fine, but I prefer a more engaging sound. I think Fiio's description of the differences between the FH5 and FA7 are actually pretty perfect, nowtl that I think of it.

Again, it's good I don't feel an immediate downgrade from my higher end(and far more expensive IEMs).

And the fit really is great. It feels like they made me a custom ear mold. Similar to the FH5's well designed for, but a bit smaller with a deeper sound tube, so they stay in the ear much more easily while out and about.
May I ask you how about the vocals quality/positioning and soundstage depth/height ,?

Vocals are great, pretty warm, nice and ever so slightly forward - not too close, not too far.. Have to do some comparisons for soundstage size as I've mostly been listening to full size cans the last few days, but at first glance it's bigger than the FH5, a bit smaller than the RE2000. Good depth and height. Very nice imaging.

I'm really curious on how these sound compare to Xelento or SE846.....
the looks is simply gorgeous

Haven't used those parricular IEMs but the FA7 seems to be one of those IEMs that makes you wonder why go for something more expensive. I thought the FH5 were great but also a clear step below the TOTL IEMs I've heard. I really don't feel like the FA7 is that far off from the top. I wonder what I'd think if I didn't know the relative prices or internals.

Don't want to be too hyperbolic or turn this into another FOTM, but it's clear Fiio is learning with each new IEM!

Also kudos to the new acrylic build. I have the smoke gray option. I thought the acrylic would look kind of cheap compared to the metal FH5, but it's the opposite. These look almost like jewelry.

Amazon in U.S. doesn't have the FA7 red and blue, it's priced at $299.99 USD for the black with silver strips. I thought things sold through China sites would be less expensive, not in this case. Why can't I buy it directly from the FiiO site?
