Sorry for asking this, ( and yes I can be abit pedantic) but...
They mmcx connection, it's not supposed to spin freely, like a fidget spinner right?
I'm asking as mine are "tight" as in I have to push with 1 finger to move the IEM, and with will hold that position.
Also, one side is just a hair more tight the the other, but I'm guessing that's normal right?
(And yes, we may, or may not have some slight OCD going on here... )
Anyway all replies appreciated.

Yeah, don't be sorry. All of us that have both types of head phones end up comparing them a lot ourselves. I know what you mean about Symphonic metal. Listening to a lot of Therion and old Xandria recently. I feel like my IE 300 handles it pretty well. Certainly well enough for on-the-go listening. I have no doubt, however, that my Hifiman Ananda handles this music best of all my phones, except for intentionally impactful bass. In those cases, I have my Fostex TH-X00 for any thunder. I kind of doubt that an IE 600 could best them at their game, but an IE 900 might.Sorry for comparing the Sennheiser to Beyedynamic over ear headphones

Your description is correct. They will not spin freely but are easy to rotate on the axis with a nudge.Sorry for asking this, ( and yes I can be abit pedantic) but...

I am soooo much crying right now
I have contated sennheiser support with the following
"Dear Seenheiser, I have bought a pair of IE600 from "Hifiklubben" in Denmark.
They sound great, - but sadly there is a problem with the right MMCX connector, as it is stuck and can't be removed. The problem is with the 4.4 mm cable.
The 3.5 mm cable came off, and came off with no problems, but when I put the 4.4 mm on, the left side was/is harder to remove, but the right side can't be disconnected.
I have also tried holding it with rubber, and gloves, to give me more grip, but the right just is not coming of. With the force I am pulling if I "only" hold the cable part, the cable will 100 procent rip.
In other words, I,m following your instructions to the letter.
So sadly I will have to do a warranty claim...
Can I expect to get a new pair? or will my pair be sent to a technician?"
I will be contacting the store today and will see what happens... but damn I am sad...
I specially rdered a iBasso DC05, so it will easier to have on the go' - and here I want to change cables, but the right side just is not comming off. I am not joaking when I say I spent 2 hours trying to get it off... but nothing.

Don't worry. I have a feeling you will get a proper resolution. The initial quality experience is extinguished with sadness, but the replacement will surely last indefinitely, and eventually redeem the whole experience.
Sorry to hear about this. You made the right call and we've got your back It is indeed the exception, not the norm.I am soooo much crying right now

Update:Sorry to hear about this. You made the right call and we've got your back It is indeed the exception, not the norm.
Short version: went to the store, they managed to disconnect them, got them back and everything is fine. End of story. All sorted.
Longer version.... : went in and talked to a young sales assistant, who efter some 3-5 tires also could not disconnect the right IEM.
He said that he would need to talk to the manager, and after about a 5 min wait, the manager comes with my IEM's disconnected. He shrugged and smiled.
Anyway, what he said was, that I need to pull, and twist at the same time. Just pulling will get you nowhere he said. I of course thought that he was joking af first, but turns out he is right.
I looked up the manual, and nothing says, that you should also twist. When twisting, they almost immediately just pop out. But if you make a effort to make a straight pull. ( as I did, because don't want to damage anything) well it will be hard.
The 4.4 cable still sits tighter then the 3.5, - but he said that was normal.
So, end story.
Don't want to give the IE600 a bad rep,- they are really good.
I would be happy, if I had know this up front, ( about the twist ), but i'm guessing many do it subconsciously, so they don't even realize it.
Bam!

The importance (and result) of strenuous testing during manufacturing, summed up right there. Thx for sharing @nymz !

In terms of consistency and channel matching I never need to be worried with a sennheiser product.

For anyone interested the ie600 goes really well with the ifi signature.
Settings at eco/ bit perfect/high sensitivity.
I use high sensitivity on the signature because it gives me lower volume listening capabilities without channel imbalance.
