I placed an order for the IE 600 on HiFiGo that was immediately returned to the sender by FedEx on the 11th due to the shutdown. :frowning2:
Ugh so close!! Sorry to hear about that

I had some supplier say only May

Well Mest was already more technical than ie900. But tuning wise, they should be more alike this time.

I think you can forget about it, that is going extinct now. I even gave up ordering 2.5mm cables myself i favor for iem resale.

Your best bet is getting a EA cable with ConX set.
yeah thats so true even newer Ak DAPs have 4.4 nowadays...
I might just go buy the ie900 2.5 balance cable for my ie600, I am pretty sure its the same cable.

I was also thinking of the Brise Audio BSEP IE600 special tune cable in 2.5 balance, but its still not avilable locally.

The problem with IE600/900 is not all mmcx connector will fit and only a few brands does like the (conX)
Today I tried the Lake people X Mogami Y529/530 and its a very good match with the IE600.

You can buy any standard MMCX cable, and with sandpaper or much better a dremel, grind down the red and blue/white plastic under the connector. If you lower it approximately 1 mm, you would have it done.
It took me 30 seconds with a dremel to modify a standard NiceHCK MMCX cable so I could plug it seamlessly into an IE300.

By the way, the cable is still compatible with standard MMCX as well, I am now using it on my 7hz Timeless.

Here the hawaii boy is doing a nice video of impression/review of the ie600 and according to him the 600's are dop. He added a little comparison vs the 900. I know he likes good bass and vibes in music and he highly rec's the new senny 🙂😛😃

Watched that video this morning.

I am a single DD lover, was about to pull the trigger on Zen Pro and this showed up.
Eagerly waiting for it's release in India.

Have you tried the 7h Timeless?
You will forget there is no DD in there.

Tried it, the fit was terrible for me because of its awkward shape.
Surprising. It fits everyone I know perfectly, including me.
For me they are the most comfortable IEM I have, I don't even know about wearing them, of course the circular part goes completely out of the ear.

The IE300 fit, if it's a valid comparison, is almost too snug. Discourages casual removal in public spaces. Maybe the key is to find a tip that works with that particular IEM shape. Though t fidgety cable also can sometimes lead to fit problems.

i am pretty sure that the IE600 is a better iem than the IE900
At the end of the day, the driver in ie600 is same with the driver in ie900 but the chamber design are different which makes ie600 more neutral
Since the driver are literally the same there will not be much difference in technicality but tuning

If that were the case the IE300 would be as good as the IE900 too. The sound quality/tonality/technical ability of an IEM is alot more than the driver alone.

The drivers in this family have similar DNA but they are certainly not "literally the same". In addition, you have to think of earphones and headphones as an acoustic system versus just the transducer. There are so many other variables besides the transducer and it's tuning, all which affect the resulting sound (coupling, resonators, materials, nozzle scope, filters, back volumes, and so on, etc). Factor in the compact footprint, and even the most minute difference can wildly influence the output.

A good analogy is an automotive engine, where its performance can be tuned individually, but the overall experience of driving the car is affected by tires, weight distribution, transmission, feedback, stance, etc. For example the Audi TT and VW Atlas use the VW MQB platform but are entirely different vehicles.

I thought we are talking about "Porsche" here :thinking:
