Exceptional in Every Detail: Say Hello to the IE 600

I mentioned a few replies back about using some sort of gasket (o ring or modifies tip core) placed on the 2nd position to keep the eartips secure on the 1st position working wonders for me.

Just thought I would mention that this has made the stock silicon tips fit like a dream. I think the stock tips give the best sound.

I use the O ring method on a few of my iems for better depth. ( Shure se846 & ie300 & ie600 )

How is the se846 compared to IE600
The sennheiser ie600 has more technicalities sound wise & are lively than the Shure846.
I use the shure with the shure Bluetooth ear hooks for outside exercise.
I think the sennheiser ie300 are more similar to the se846s.
The sennheisers fit me a little better but you can't go wrong with either of them.

Adding to the cable discussion … I got a Null Audio Symphonym-Tiburon MKIII cable (4.4mm) for my IE600s. Impressions are that it noticeably deepened the perceived soundstage and added some ‘body’ to the sound. I also noticed that, in warming up the sound, it also very slightly tamed some of the sharper sibilant tones I was hearing on some sources. Negatives are that the cable is pretty hefty and is better used in a desktop setting or maybe even laying down. I found that a shirt clip helped tremendously to relieve the cable weight from the ear hooks. (BTW, just upgraded my desktop setup to an ADI-2 which only has singled ended headphone outs, so if anyone is interested in one of these cables ….). Null Audio experience was also great by the way - fast shipping and a high quality product.

Can anyone compare
IE600 and Meze Adavar ??????
Please
You won't go wrong with any of them but after using both for a while, I just ended up liking more the Advar due to slightly better mid-bass impact (good for metal) and a more transparent midrange with more emotional vocals.
IE600 has slightly more sub-bass impact and sounds great with some electronic music.
Initially, I didn't like the Advar because of the treble peaks in the 6-8 khz area and a grainy sound but I was using only the stock cable for audition, which is a mess.
Then I used a balanced cable (just copper, not silver plated) and also the EQ for lower the 6 kz frequency and they just sounded great, fuller sound and tamed treble, really enjoyable all rounder.

Back to gather some more tips for the ie600. Has the consensus been reached that the ie pro tips are best (finger is nearly hitting the buy button)?

Tip rolled a few and best I got are some generic gray ones. Upgraded the cable aswell since stock is finicky, didn't noticed any difference from stock cable.

Been calculating abit... That's bloody 98db!!

NO IEM needs 98db to sound "good"!!! You will be getting hearing damage after more the 2 hours of listening. Congrats 👏🎊👏

I liked the IE Pro tips however I landed on the Azla Vivid Edition. I prefer the sound profile and they have so many sizes I was able to get a perfect fit plus they are somewhat sticky which really helps with the seal and thus bass. I had no problems with the IE Pro but they werent as sticky and my ears were in between sizes so it was never a perfect fit
