Exceptional in Every Detail: Say Hello to the IE 600

Just received these! Initial impressions are very positive.

The very first thing that struck me as someone who enjoys metal is how realistic the drums/percussion sounds, amazing!

My only initial complaint is that Sennheiser didn't go with standard MMCX connectors because I'm guessing you'll void the warranty if you remove the plastic sleeves?
Welcome to the #IE600Club! The MMCX connectors are standard fidelity plus MMCX. There's nothing proprietary here. What we DID do, however, was recess the socket to provide additional strain relief. It is not a question of the connector type but the shroud around the cable's jack plug. If the shroud can fit inside the recessed socket, standard MMCX connectors snap right in. Hope that helps.

I wouldnt recommend modifying the IEM. There are a lot of 3rd party options for cables and even the tripowin MMCX cables on Amazon kind of work. If you want them to really stick you can take the sleeve off of the connectors on the Tripowin cables and they fit perfectly.

I've barely taken them out my ears since I received them :)

I know you can't comment on future products, but it would be absolutely fantastic if Sennheiser released a Bluetooth adapter with a newer qualcomm SoC along with a decent amp/dac, specifically designed for your new IE-series. Preferably a true wireless adapter, but you could also release a neckband like what Beyerdynamic has done for their Xelento :)

Anyone with an Xelento 2 able to compare with the IE 900? Beyerdynamic has always been a respectable manufacturer of dynamic drivers.
I believe the YouTuber "Passion for sound" made a comparison during for his Xelento 2 review.

I owned them very briefly, they were great...But the driver flex was very annoying and the BT-neckband a bit underwhelming.

Edit: Here!

I was using adapters on my ie300 with the fiio utws5 bluetooth ear hooks but the sound use to distort sometimes so I ditched them & trimmed off some of the plastic & they sounded awesome after that.
But I probably wouldn't trim off the ie600 because they are a lot more expensive. Lol

I am with you on trimming the 600s, too much cash to be DIYing those. Side note, I did get the Null Epsilon cable a bit back for these. I will try and post some pictures of that, the Brise Flex, and the stock side by side later.
