Just got a pair of ER-4P (and S thanks to my Xin amp). I must say I don't know what people are talking about when they say they can't hear the bass. It's very nice. They're not basshead phones, but they sure sound great.

After switching from the foam to the flange tips. All I can say is. WOW. I can hear the bass. FINALLY. Guess I'll keep the foam tips for my friends. Lol.

Just received my black ER-4P last Saturday.

I wasn't very excited about it. The sound fluctuates a bit and it takes about 10 hours or so for it to stabilise, could be due to the green filter thingie. But now it is almost a perfect fit for me.

Amping it would bring out its bottom end. But right now I am using the bass boost of my Sony DAP which seem to work better for me than many amps I tried.

Have read reviews comparing them to the ER4P in sound quality, if so will be very pleased.

So far I like them but I'm waiting on the olives I ordered. I really like the sound they are producing from the included foamies. Can't wait to hear them with olives!

Count me in...Ety ER4-P (classic red/blue), with S adaptor cable and white triflanges...mostly use them with the S cable now that I have proper amplification.
