Congrats! I can see a new EE personalised cable?
Legend X has landed....
Yes, I too was curious about the cable; for a moment, I thought you'd gone crazy and bought the King Arthur

Has anyone tried the Rupert Neve Designs RNHP headphone amp with the Legend X, I am currently using it on the Dunlu Hulk Cable and couldn't believe the difference than just using it straight from my Hiby R6 via its balanced port. So much more top detail (without fatigue) better mid range and deeper cleaner bass, sound stage also opens up a lot more

Is that the Ares II or something different?

It's the Ares II looks like the latest batch has the engraving.

I've not seen the Ares II look like that before. I'm impressed by it's good looks.

I just received my Valkyries and really, really like them. I’m looking forward to the not so distant future when I can compare them to the LX. There’s certainly no place to demo them in New Mexico and I would venture a guess that no one in New Mexico even owns a pair.

Anything desktop and decently designed will best most portable gear. You don't even have to spend that much, get the smsl sp200 and be good for both iems and headphones.Has anyone tried the Rupert Neve Designs RNHP headphone amp with the Legend X, I am currently using it on the Dunlu Hulk Cable and couldn't believe the difference than just using it straight from my Hiby R6 via its balanced port. That does it! Now I have to build some extension cables so I can use my desk-top amps with my IEMs. Just to try it out.

Just be careful with the volume knob, you might need an ifi iematch/earbuddy if the amp is noisy as well. That does it! Now I have to build some extension cables so I can use my desk-top amps with my IEMs. Just to try it out.

Really enjoying the Wraith. It obviously doesn't have the addicting sub-bass rumble of Legend X or even Valkyrie, but bass has good resolution and reaches deep, more so than Zeus, which can at times come off as somewhat bass-light. I find it to be the most balanced of EE's offerings with great coherence across the frequency range. Technicality is elevated above Zeus while still maintaining a natural tonality. I sometimes find Zeus sounds "too technical"; Wraith is more engaging. It also casts the widest stage of EE's lineup without sacrificing instrument placement & separation. It really is an evolution of Zeus.
