Anyone have thoughts as to the best cable for Odyssey? Am thinking of Stormbreaker, First Times or maybe even Ode to Laura. Or wondering if something silver like Iliad could be good to keep it from being too bass-heavy.

Though part of me wonders whether there was a legit reason, other than strictly cost, for why the Ares 2 was chosen as the stock cable (maybe it has some good synergy?).

I own the Stormbreaker but haven't tried it on the Odyssey.

Between the First Times (unshielded) and the Ode to Laura I prefer the Eletech cable: in the low and mid range I don't hear significant differences between the two cables, while the high range with the Ode to Laura is more airy, brighter and clearer (better defined).

That is on Odyssey and EVO.
There are implementations by other companies where the shell needs to have contact with ear to conduct vibrations.

How would you be sure of ear contact with all the different shapes of ears?
With the deep seal eartips the inner side of the shell should have good ear contact

Thanks. What's it do for treble?
It neither adds to nor takes away anything from the treble. I find tip rolling more relevant in changing the treble. YMMV of course.

Found a great pairing. Odin and PWA First Times. Smooths out mids and adds bass definition to an already totl performer.
