I didn’t quite like the pairing of Socrates with LX SE (as compared to stock cable). Socrates is great with LX and I also like it with U18T and Thummim.
The Cleopatra is an excellent pairing with either of the LXs. I almost bought the SE. If it wasn't for the SK turning into a Fourte.

LX SE with Cleopatra is not bad but I really love that LX SE & Effect Audio Onyx pairing, nice bass & sub-bass boost compared to the Cleo. I also briefly tried the 1950s with LX SE, still like the Onyx over that.

The Onyx pairing sounds lovely… too bad it’s sold only to EA club members  good for my wallet lol

Was Onyx the black 6-wire palladium plated silver?
Yes, a really great cable. Currently welded to my Softears Cerberus (an incredible combo).

Nice! Does it sound similar to Leo II Octa?
From memory, they definitely share some characteristics yet not all but, being honest, I’ve never A/B’d the two on the same IEMs. I will try to this weekend and will report back.

Based on what I can see on the EA club postings, only 20 sets of EA Onyx were produced, I can’t even consider getting one 👻

Happen to have Onyx stick to my MD Zeus, so try to roll it to the LX SE. The sub-bass is more prominent now. Don't think it reach the stage of LX OG but I got SE instead of OG exactly becoz of the more "balanced" Sig. Now can have 2 Sig with the Onyx and Cleo II.

On a side note. Roll my OSLO to the MD Zeus... and now it becomes an IEM for vocal sound PLUS some good bass. At least now I cannot say there is no bass like it did before...

Yeh if only i could own both Odin and LX...
I was always one iem at the time guy. But this duet is really fantastic. They both got something very interesting to offer.

The only reason i did not dive for Odin earlier is that i would have like a bit more bass, coming from LX.
But now after auditioning it on SP2k it really shined. So decided to give it a shot.
I did not find it fatiguing to be honest i do like upper mid presence to be honest. What i cant stand is, in your face treble like that of Sultan. Odin nails it for me.

But even then. I have my doubt wether its a good decision to sell LX...
I'm in the market for an LX if you're considering it

Music recommendation for my LX Brothers (and Sisters if you be lurking), a strong musical recommendation. Dave McMurray, “Grateful Deadication!”

Listening to the Iliad with my LX now from the DX220 MAX and it is sublime!

LXSE!

Catch, release and catch again! My IEM pattern. Another IEM I purchased, then sold to an audio friend, and then due to missing them so much I bought the same ones back.

That upper mid tuning bump turns the LX from L shaped to W shaped. With the double DD not as present but still very present!! Such a special IEM!
