There are too many my friend, my poor student wallet can proceed slowly and one by oneI didn't lose my interest on those but I am actually trying to figure out what kind of sound signature I will go after. Reference level flat-ish tuning or very bassy (both quantity and quality) with creamy midrange, polite treble or etc etc etc.![]()
Do I really need both of my kidneys?
I find it curious that some people who own a certain CIEM that they really like, then seek a 'complimentary CIEM' with a substantially different sound signature.
I understand the logic, that there is little point in owning 2 CIEMs that sound almost identical, but there is also a risk with that logic that one seeks 'something different from what I already have', instead of seeking 'something I also really like'.
A compromise would be great, somewhere in the middle of the above 2 scenarios, but I find it difficult enough just to find one CIEM that I really like, so I would always keep seeking the sound signature I really like, rather than trying to find something different from a CIEM I own and like.
It's just a difference in philosophical approach
