Sometimes it's the video that 'makes' the song

Yeah, that's true. And certainly the case with Gantz Graf - one of the most difficult tracks in Autechre's entire discography (and that includes the likes of Untilted), but with Alex Rutterford's visuals, everything clicks into place! You might be a bit out with the date though - it was 2002 I think...Ae are always ahead of their time!

**** Co La - No No (2015) ****

Also anyone who likes that Rote track posted above you can hear more of this talent here:

** Rote - EP1 (2015) **

Here is a groundbreaking new album, and coming from me, that's saying a lot. A wonderful marriage of drone, grime and excursions in reverb.

*** Visionist - Safe (2015) ***

Here is a very obscure ultra rare compilation of retro-tinged electronic music, using samples from the 60's & 70's and pulled off astoundingly:

** In a Moment? - Ghost Box (2015) **

Yup, I'd say Hexstatic are a prime example or 'traditional' electronic music, along with Coldcut, LFO, Meat Beat Manifesto, Tipper and Prodigy. These are a few notable artists that have been keeping the electro / breaks subgenre thrivin' for around two decades.

I would also recommend the sublime, timeless early works of Suzukiski and Metamatics (separately), which focus more on smooth abstract IDM, but wasn't able to find any good videos so you may wanna try them out!

What do you get when you combine hentai / manga and electronic music?

Monster Musume (No Iru Nichijou Opening 2015)

(well somethin' that doesn't sound good when you're sober)

What do you get when you combine Metamatics and Norken?

Metamatics - Giant Sunflowers Swaying in the Wind (2002)

(trick question - they're the same mastermind: brilliant deep house tinged IDM!)
