I'll probably pick it up in two weeks or so. My Hold Bin on Beatport and Wish list on Amazon are absolutely full though.. I guess that would be a bit of a downside to having a comparatively diverse taste in Electronic music.

My Beatport cart is nearing...2.5k right now. I've been converting some to an iTunes wishlist as they're much cheaper there...and I'm not paying Beatport for lossless so 256 AAC = 320 MP3.

Does 256 AAC really = 320 MP3? Because I'm coming from purchasing some $300 worth of music off of ITunes and being told that is low quality and to start buying everything on Beatport.

Edit: Also thanks for linking the free download, I'm planning on purchasing his Power of FIre EP soon and this will be a nice little taste of what is to come.

Yeah, they're pretty much the same. The reason iTunes got a bad rap is because they used to sell 128 AAC and that stuff was pretty bad. You can actually pay .30 per song to upgrade to the better versions.

Linking this one again because it's actually the first time I've listened to this on the 009 and it's fantastic. Preordered the picture vinyl yesterday. Wait until 0:56. Favorite part. That triple kick hits so ******* hard.

I would have to say Boys Noize is probably my favorite producer, maybe because I grew up listening to Daft Punk and he kind of combines elements from Daft Punk's Homework years with Dark Electro and Techno Bass Lines.

Also I'm definitely considering purchasing Lorn's Ask the Dust soon, just based off the high praise for it I've seen on here.

If you like Boyz noise and more genrally Ed Banger team , you should try Teenage Bad Girl  and SebastiAn .. the last is IMO the best

You know, I constantly hear about SebastiAn, but i've never heard any of his stuff.I'll check all his stuff out!

Hmm I think I'll still stick with beatport from now on though, just because of the all the correct track info they provide and exclusive tracks they release!

I currently listen to Reso's "Tangram" .. I'm not a specialist and it's probably not new for you but I really appreciate this album.

i was actually pretty disappointed by the new gemini. it may just be because i got it together with other really great releases (such as the new TRUTH which blew me away).

I always wanted to ask this thing, so here. I suppose 009 is extraordinary piece of equipment, which can reproduce marvelous sound quality wise depth, clarity and realism. It will be my end-game HP's somewhere in future, I give my word. :) And I always though people with these listen to well-recorded, mastered, classical, jazz, rock oldies. It's cool, but I am not interested in these genres. My question for you: is high-end is capable for elecronic music? Lossless, of course. And mainly 16/44.1 (CD) quality. It's rarely recorded, more computer generated tone. I think this music will be botnecking particular end-game setup. Only you can tell me, please. :)

I was pissed I didn't get a signed copy of the LP (was in between pay checks). Reso is a fantastic producer and that album is no exception.

I don't think the music is the bottleneck at all. Well over half my test songs for new equipment are Electronic music and that's how I pick most of the differences out. Heck, I think it's more obvious with well mastered EDM because there's no mic to worry about when recording the sound. You hear the sound exactly how it was intended. So unless they run the final master through a meat grinder (which happens still) you get quality music.

At a recent mini meet I hosted the other 2 guys were big into EDM, too. They could easily hear differences between the 009 and other world class cans. Mainly in the texture and transparency departments.

I'd say the 2 best choices for Electronic music in the high end are the TH900 and 009. The TH900 rocks out monster bass with less texture and a slight grain compared to the 009, but the music is so pure and full. The 009 just gives you exactly what's there. It's just so transparent. I think it's even more obvious with Ambient or Future Garage stuff like Soular Order.

I thought it kicked the piss out of his last release, so that was my bar for rating the new EP. Hard to stand up to Truth though. Not a fair fight. :D

I love the video and the track isn't the best, but it's a slammer. I like that every now and then. Especially when gaming. Gets you hype.

Nothing Else is on my list of vinyl to get still. It really is a fantastic album, but I still think Ask the Dust edges it out for me.
