My first EA cable, Code 23 and Chamber case touched down today.

Quick pics, nothing glamorous:

Big box was packaged very creatively and arrived safely.

Ergonomics isn't as bad as expected and lightweight compared to some of my ET 8 wires. Loving the big bold Code 23 hardware. I was afraid the custom Pentaconn OFC 4.4 hardware was going to be a bit big for the cased RS8. There's definitely cable memory but you can "shape" it in the direction you need it.

Loving Obsidian Black which complements the hardware quite nicely.

Initial listening impressions, excellent synergy with Xe6 – holographic and atmospheric soundstage in width, depth and height; dark background and gorgeous analog bass with low textural rumble; lush and engaging mids – one of the best if not the best mid-priced copper cables pairing with Xe6 I've listened to date.

Enjoying Code 23's copper boldness and may break up my Xe6 and ET Ode to Laura GOAT pairing... already considering doubling up, LOL.

Looking forward to spending my medical hiatus with Code 23. Many thanks to the team at @EffectAudio for a bold, brash and beastly Code 23.

I have yet to hear the Cleo II Octa, so this is just generalizing the difference between 4-wire and 8-wire cables in my experience.

It depends on whether you want to have the maximum performance out of a particular cable, and also the IEM that you would be pairing the cable with - some IEMs greatly benefit from having an 8-wire version of a cable in terms of having an holographic and expansive soundstage, but others might seem to be too diffused and have better synergy with the 4-wire. In your case, I think that the 4-wire Cleo II would be a sufficient enough upgrade, but if you value having a much wider soundstage and the best possible resolution out of the cable, 8-wire is the way to go.

I would say you won't be disappointed either way!

Has me wondering if something with a super thick wire like the Code 23 would sound better the having a cable that’s made up of multiple strands of smaller wire? In my mind I think the thicker wire would sound better.

Hopefully one day I’ll get the opportunity to try out the code 23 . I been super impressed by the Cleopatra 2 with the Mest Indigo and Mest Mkii. When effect Audio said it was designed for a multiple driver iem they couldn’t have been more correct. Curious how something like the code 23 compares to the all silver cleo 2.

as everyone is sharing their new arrivals.

Cleo Octa is in the house. This is definitely not your usual silver cable.

Paired with Supermoon:

It’s adding texture to the upper mids and treble that I wouldn’t expect from it. It’s also adding a better sense of depth in the soundstage while not compromising much the well known deep low end. Pretty happy with the current findings.

Coming from CFA Pure Silver Litz cable, Silver would not be my first option of cables for Supermoon.

Ps.: I will share more after the honeymoon period. :)

I got Code23 in Green two days ago. I expected that there might be some difference from Eros-s. However not just some difference but I feel it's a big step up with bass , punchiness, and sound size. It's very satisfying except not for outdoors because of difficulties handling. It's heavy and stiff ( not like bob-wire though :) )
Despite being inconvenient to handle it, the quality of sound it makes is just great.

Do it mate, it’s definitely worth a try either IEM or Headphone.

It was in today’s rotation for my Supermoon. While I seek for its perfect match. (You know the Mission  )

So C23 feels like getting everything above 500hz and putting a step back on the stage from stock cable. Supermoon’s splashness and forward timbre is still there, but less aggressive and keeping the details everyone claims from Supermoon.

Very perceptible on the songs below. On a good note, these are piercing with CFA Super Litz. Unbearable with CFA Pure Silver Litz.

Ps.: As previously, I will come back with more details after the Honeymoon period.
