Fair? I think it's a steal. Assuming it's not a scam of course.
I paid significantly more for my set and I'm pretty sure some of the regulars here that have recently acquired a set of their own did as well.
Not to say that the Orpheus is the be all end all of headphone listening but if you ever wanted a set, I don't think you'd be able to find it at a better price.
