Hello guys, have a question about the battery life and charging time. In user manual they said it should take around three hours with a wall charger, but mine with an original Samsung battery (bought directly to Amazon) only charge for one hour and a half. The battery life is very short, around 5 or 6 hours of normal use with hi-res files and mid gain. Is this usual or may I have a problem ...

completely normal. same as mine.

I bought it. The price is actually USD180 (SGD 250). It is a DX90j for Japan market, not the regular DX90.

AFAIK there are no less than three types: regular DX90, regular DX90j and DX90j limited edition.

what's the difference between the three versions?

Hi,recently both a used dx90, may I ask what fw you are currently using? And your impression? Can you suggest me what fw should I use,I like forwards mids and controlled bass, nice instrument separation. listens to female vocals(yuna) indie pop & rock(hippo campus). electronic music, artist like odesza
My music files will come from my cd album collection, will rip into 24/192 flac file

Hey Guys,
A lot of you have been here a lot longer than I have, know your way around much better.
I posted a review on here of my experiences with new ciems from EarTech Music, their Quads.  I have really been enjoying listening to my DX90 through them.
I posted it here:   http://www.head-fi.org/t/832913/eartech-music-quad-review

But it has gotten no traction at all, no comments, not getting any looks really.  Did I post it in the wrong place?  Is there somewhere better?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, God Bless,
Wayne

dear friend, I use the last official firmware because it's very stable and sounds quite spatial and defined. About your second sentence I wonder why you're going to convert a CD files to 24 bits. The CD is 16 bits and 44 khz, only the SACD files are 24 bits and real 192khz only is available on master tracks from professional studio files. So you're going to create a super heavyweight 24/192 FLAC file with identical data than a light 16/44.

DX200 maybe? :D

Too expensive of an upgrade I'm looking at a fiio x7, onkyo dx-p1, Pioneer xdp100, or the chord mojo with my Samsung 7 the storage for music

On it's way out ... isn't that a clue?

On my dx90 one of the channels keeps going out on both headphone AND line out - grrrrr. I can make it come back by holding the jack in a particular way but it's useless having to carry it around in my hand holding the jack.

I'm using my old Cowon J3 now - the interface is SOOOO good, makes me realize what a pain the iBasso is to use. Anway, saving up for a Cowon P1.
