Just upgraded to factory FW 2.5.1
A bit off topic...I used DX90 as a source for my car audio via an analogue AUX line in. It does not sound as good.
Has anyone tried this?

I did when I was using fw 2.2.0 and 2.4.1
Sounds OK, but I need to put it in hgh gain and dx90's volume was around 220-235 and the car speaker's volume was around 20/35 to get a decent volume

should use the line out with low gain and max volume, and control the volume from the cars Stereo .

From what I understand the gain doesn't affect the (non amped) line out, only the amped headphone out.

probably i should, but i'm forgetful and probably will forget to turned down the dx90 volume and will ended up blowing my ear, again
 
but i should use the line out since it's pre-amped and use the car's amp (if it got any).

I will say that my battery life is better with the 2.5.1 L0 ultimate cleanup than it was with 2.1.5 ultimate cleanup

It's hard to directly compare sound unless I had two dx90's both running separate firmwares and hooked up to an a/b switch

But my Mdr 7550 sound great with the 2.5.1L0

  Assuming that 2.5.1 L0 sounds no different than stock 2.5.1 (which I tried and didn't like), I think I'll pass.
 
It IS hard to compare! But I finally made up my mind

I tried stock 2.5.1 on my modded DX90 and didn't like it, it sounds flat and veiled.. Weird 

On the contrary, I love 2.5.1 L0, sounds perfect for me.

Tried once the Meze 99 Classics, it sounds very very good for the price.
