To be clear, 2.5.1L1 and 2.5.1L0 are the same except the fonts, right? So we should get the same sound signature.

Gonna try 2.5.1 L0 now. Let's see how it compares to 2.1.5 L4 and stock 2.5.1

EDIT: 2.5.1 L0 is definetely better than 2.5.1 (or I am starting to lose my mind with these nearly psycho-acoustic sh**t  )

I will still try and compare 2.5.1 L0 with 2.1.5 L4 although I already believe 2.5.1 L0 may be here to stay, it really feels so balanced!

It seems it worths the try! :D

Yeah... I think so.

It happens that DX50 firmware 1.9.5 has some improvements and bug fixes in MangoPlayer, regarding SACD ISO playback, and, probably, even more. This is what I've found so far:
  1. Lists of tracks for SACD ISO files in Directory view now are grouped into separate folders.
  2. In DX90 2.5.1, there are a few cases when MangoPlayer crashes and restarts. I failed to reproduce any of known crashes in MangoPlayer build for DX50.
  3. In DX90 2.4.0 and 2.5.1, I often experience cutoff of the last track of an album. With this player I didn't face it (yet?).

That's why I decided to publish firmware 2.5.1L2 & L3, with MangoPlayer taken from DX50 firmware 1.9.5.

If you ever decided to get a dx50 i think it deserves your expertise and attention

What else could I do if they've fixed all the problems I've found in 2.5.1?

I'm listening the 3rd day, and have yet to find any!

It still doesn't have the legendary ultimate cleanup like dx90 though but your right it has come a long way

OK, do you mean, you believe I ever touched DX50 itself? No! I just extracted files from its firmware, and built mine with them :) With only two of them, to be exact. I have no intentions to deal with DX50 at all.

Anyone experienced clicking/pop noise(though mild, but it's there) at end/beginning of track when playing SACD iso/dsf files?
No, but I have gapless turned on.

Imho, it would be great if a track counter could be eventually implemented.
As there is no space left on the actual playing screen, I think the perfect position would be in the status bar on the left, as there is nothing yet (the volume indicator is in the centre, the battery indicator on the right, and nothing on the left).

It would be great if you could forward this suggestion to the software team, @Paul - iBasso.
