Sounds open and transparent to me and well layered.

i think the same, but when music gets really dynamic i think the details get blurry i noticed it a few times, i don't know if other do , but its more open for sure. but this lack of details and muffling was scaring me at times

Yes it's more open, quite obvious on 16bits files but it does not in lacking in low as the other member said. It's a little dark on dsf, switching from low gain to mid seems well to bring out the sound. Will take another few days to if it's really my taste.

I'm amazed by this update. First, that it actually happened, and secondly, that I can find no major problems so far. Even if this is it for the DX90, iBasso proved to me, that they continue to support their products, even after retirement. Thank you iBasso!

Hi, I'm having trouble getting the dx90 to work as a USB DAC on Win 8. It's recognising it fine with the official windows driver but songs are stuttering and skipping, and response is very slow when selecting songs on my hard drive and even more so on Tidal. i have another DAC that is working fine. I get this problem on 2.3, 2.4.1 and 2.5.1

Does the Lurker firmware provide more stability or is there an alternative driver for W8?

Unfortunately, it's the "feature" of dx90. Another drivers or OS can't fix it.

I tried 2.5.1L0 and it's the best sound I've heard from my DX90MM1 so far.
Coming from 2.4.0L1 which I found excellent already, the bass was slightly too warm, some female vocals may sound harsh on S words.
With 2.5.1L0, no more issues mentionned above, without the little warmth of bass, it sounds now overall slightly more refined, super clean between instruments and better layered.

Thanks Ibasso and Lurker0!

Glad you like the SIG, I'm still taking my time to listen to it, coming from L2.2LO. BTW, what's that DX90MM1?
