@M-13: Not that you regret it a few months later when you sell them. In home audio (speakers, speaker amps, CD-players etc.) there are some sales I really regret.

There is a simple and effective cure for regret on Head-fi: rebuy
It's all part of the journey.
If I have to rebuy something several times before learning the true value so be it

I know someone who bought, sold and rebought the HD 800 for about 5 times. The last time he said that the "king of soundstage" would now finally be permanently in his inventory but a day later it was up for sale again.

Are you sure it's not a she?
@uli87: Yes, I am pretty sure, but it doesn't matter because I am waiting for the DX90's latest firmware to be fixed.

My dx90 with 2.18l got nearly no problems for me. No skipping, no freezing, good sound signature. I don't care if they can release it on time since I am so happy on my dap now
No rush for me either. My FLACs are doing A.OK
Fixing gapless playback would be nice though.

It definitely would be nice... in the meantime if gapless is important to you, you can install the Rockbox FW on your DX90 it does gapless.
The downside with RockBox is that the volume can't be adjusted as precisely as with the DX90's stock firmware (though RockBox still allows you a pretty precise adjustment range but again not as precise as the stock FW).

Yeah. I am very pedantic with my volumes and know the exact values to go according to each headphone and gain stage. It's all about priorities!
I do wish mango can become truly gapless one day.

I fixed all my flac files removing id3v2 tag and retagging them,it took less than I thought using mp3tag, just to stick with 2.1.8., that sounds amazing to me. Gapless works fine to me, maybe only a small click between tracks. The one thing I don' t like,UI speaking,is that when I sort by Artist, albums are not in release date order but alphabetical. I could edit album tags, but I don't want to!

Pretty sure Napka's Rockbox build has the same number of volume steps as the stock firmware.

I guess I should check it out then.
How do I remove RB completely and reinstall the stock FW again if I want to?
