Everytime i hear praises for the 2.1.5 and lurkers i am compelled to try them again and again and again..
But every time the 2.1.0 comes on top

to my ears the difference is night and day 2.1.0 has a depth and fluidic presentation that all the other firmware just don't have. I always feel there is something missing in the other firmwares. 2.0.5 was good but it wasn't balanced, 2.1.0 is perfect

I think the type of music we hear makes us love or hate the firmwares. Well i listen to everything and i do not understand 70% of the music I hear From Africans, Spanish to Arabic and i believe the fw which can tackle all the genres is the one to go for..

Today i was working with this song for the comparison

Schoch Va Gado - Yulduz Usmanova (VA- rough guide to music of central asia)

The song could really bring out any flaws if there are any in the fw or if everything is not the way it is supposed to be ,,,  give it a go and let me know if we are on the same page.

Regards
BS

Same taste. I listen to all sorts of junks and greatly appreciate 2.1 tried all versions of 2.1.5 doesn't like it.

I hate to be "that guy", but I'm looking for Lurker firmware V2.1.0, and following all the links seem to lead me to the same place with just the latest 2 versions.

In that place there is a text at the bottom "The archive with all the previous releases is here." Did you try to click on "here"?

DX90 + 2.1.5 L2 beats AK240, that's just my opinion, I don't care what anyone else thinks

Honestly, the latest firmware makes it sound similar to my buddy's AK240, just a touch less refined really, I would happily say its 95% of the performance, when you factor in both their prices the DX90 easily beats the AK240 lol.

For the moment, I'm just creating the list using the favorites function from DX90. Create a list with DX90 and export it as m3u file, open it with Notepad (or another text program) and you'll see the structure of the list.

So it seems you have to create just a /mnt/external_sd/ line with the file place on your SD card. If you create a m3u file on your computer with another program, you have to look at the structure and modify it to look like this one. You can use Notepad ++ (Windows) to search and replace words or Ant Renamer (Windows) for this.

I did not make a test for the moment but I think it will work - Don't forget to scan your directories so DX90 can grab your new m3u file (I suppose it will work too if you browse to the file).

Sorry for my bad english.

Thanks. I'll give it a try and post results if successful..

I suggested Ant Renamer but the program is only about "files name renaming" and has nothing to do with changing text content. Sorry.

I've been curious about the LP5, its one really weird dap, really want to know how it sounds lol, I have a feeling it will sound good for some reason. Ask if your friend will write a review of the LP5 and post here please! Also ask him to include direct comparison to your new / his old DX90 + 2.1.5 L2! And if you can compare them both yourself also, as two pairs of ears are better than one, we can get a good idea of what the LP5 is about with two peoples impressions. There is literally only a single review of the LP5 and its in Chinese and impossible to tell how it actually sounds as there is very little description with no comparisons. So I'm excited that your friend got an LP5!

Hello,

The thing that really bugs me is the playlist, is there a way to rename the playlist ?

Ibasso should work on playlists a bit , it would be great to rename them as a text file or something in the DX90 root folder, that won't be that tough for the guys.

You can export the playlist which will put it in the m3u folder of the internal storage, then connect the dx90 in USB storage mode to computer and rename/edit the file... Once done you can import the playlist back by browsing to it in directory mode and clicking it once
