I am Chinese and I can confirm all my tracks with Traditional Chinese characters in file names and tags was supported perfectly by your firmware. I also have a few Japanese tracks which also have their names and tags info shown correctly.

I am not so sure with Simplified Chinese characters though. I would say even the stock iBasso firmwares sometimes cannot correctly display a few characters. I certainly won't lose sleep because of it.

Yeap for me both the simplified & traditional Chinese are able to read by the original iBasso 2.1 FW, I am not sure about the the other 2.1FW

I tried the fiio X5 with my UE900 and the bass performs better than on the Dx90. But I prefer the details and clarity on the Dx90, guess you can't have both haha. I like how i can remove the battery and plug in directly to power and burn in.

Will the bass performance improved with burn in? I feel that the bass is somehow lacking in dance tracks.

Bass improves that it becomes more solid, goes a little deeper and carries the bass notes well, as individual notes. There is boom boom bass and then there is what I consider, real bass and the DX90 does that well for me.

It seems that album art embedded into separate tracks greatly affects the time to switch to such a track, and effectively ruins gapless playback.

Maybe thats the reason why some people facing the cutting problem some would not?

I have some art embedded, some not and no difference. Maybe it is the size of the embedded art. I go with just large enough and not many kb's to the size as you don't need large embedded art.

I also have UE900s, which by and large I'm pleased with. I don't want to drop big bucks so they're good enough for now. However, I'm finding that they combine well with the DX90 to make classical music really interesting to listen to primarily because they're able to clearly separate the instruments. But I agree that they lack bass, making rock and EDM a bit unfulfilling... shame!

Yeah my brother do own the US900, and yes they are really lack of bass but they are perfect for classical & soft music. You can get one that provide more bass for your rock & EDM music.
