probably they dont like adding usb dac to dx90
it is very simple...they would kill all own DACs they are selling now

why to buy extra dac when you buy DX90 and it has monstrous dac already...

it would probably kill mamba from market and everything similiar

i wouldnt be surprised if even when they add usb dac functionality there will be some limits or wanted disfunctionalities or quality drops...otherwise they could delete all other products and just sell DX90

it would be a perfect all in one

Do you really think they care as long as they sell one of their own somethings? If you think it will render some of their own products obsolete, consider other makers as well. In your scenario, if it actually worked as you say, iBasso still sells a device and many many more of them over other makers product as well. Making many many more also reduces per unit price and gives higher profits. It would be a very welcome situation for iBasso. Yours is a narrow view.

Agreed.  It's more likely they are just being resource-constrained (read: too few staffs) to be developing the firmware features and drivers for USB DAC as quickly as we AND they themselves would have wanted....  Even for a much bigger company like iriver, we had waited for more than 6 months for the AK100 to get USB DAC working.

If that was the case re: AK100 - I think we can all take a deep breath and enjoy listening to our new DAP in its present iteration.

Oh how I despise the collocation "apple + ecosystem." It's an oxymoron that needs to go away. Sorry, couldn't keep it in any longer.

Hi Wolfen68 can you send an e-mail to iBasso with your experience? I have almost the same problems and iBasso is helpful and trying to find a solution, so your experience with this can help them to fix it.

Done.  I've learned a lot since I wrote that and I hope this helps someone.  Don't change all of your tags yet!

After experimentation I recommend the following to anyone having trouble with media scanning.  Put your micro sd card in and do a scan.  Leave it alone!  It may seem like it locks up, and it is definitely taking longer than it should, but eventually it will clear.  Once done, look at your files, in my case they are all shown as "null" and cannot be accessed via "all music" or file directory view.

Do a factory reset.  After this, every time, all music is still hosed...but now you can go to directory view and select a song from any folder you have.  Once you do that it will do a quick scan of all the songs in that folder, and they will all work correctly and show in "all music" etc.  At least I can use it now...but I have over 500 folders....doing them one at a time does not sound like fun.

My other issue is that the DX90 will occasionally not show correctly in usb connect mode.  It shows the internal memory and the sd card as removable drives, but in the case of the sd card it does not recognize the drive size or label.  Usually dismounting and remounting will fix this, or another factory reset.

For Mac users waiting for USB DAC function.

Hi,
Thank you for your emails.
We are not familiar with the Mac OS. We need some time to grip necessary knowledge about it. We are still not sure if we can develop the driver for Mac OS. Please ask us this question again after about 1 month.

Sincerely
iBasso Audio

I just hooked up my DX90 to the computer via USB and opened the SD card - the songs are sorted alphabetically by track number - all the 01's, then all the 02's (although before the 02's - we have the 1-01 denoting "first disc: first song") - I right click a song to "get info" (this is a Mac) and I get this...

Is there anywhere I can edit to let the player gather the songs on an album together? No matter what style I sort (artist, album...) it always lists each individual song (actually 700+ songs)

It is just a lot of scrolling to play a song out of order.... and sometimes a scroll turns into an inadvertent selection.

Hey guys, I have a question concerning the DX90

Look like currently there are 2 versions of the DX90 as far as I know, which can be told from the picture below

So can you tell me what version you are using?
