When will iBasso understand Album/Artists/Genres/Playlists???? My DX50 arrived yesterday and like everyone else have had issues with my tags and so on. I've just updated it to v.1.1.5 and sure some of these early bugs are fixed but other remain. I have a few comments and questions.
1. Why don't the media scans completely scan both Internal memory and the SD Card?
2. This results in many Albums missing from the list.
3. Any Album with multiple artists seems to have an Album for each artist... so long as the number of artists is low. It seems beyond comprehension why you would list Albums by Artists instead of ALBUM ARTIST.
I have spent countless hours ensuring my album art and tags are neat and clean. All my albums work and display just fine in my DX100, RWAK100, Sony Walkman Z and Xperia Z, iPad, iTunes and so on. I forgive iBasso for getting a few teething issues like the Apostrophe and so on. But I wonder if these guys actually listen to music in the same way most of us do. I think my albums are files and sorted like the default systems for iTunes and MediaMonkey and so on. EG. //Drive/Music/Artist/Album/Filename. It's not complex.
And of course we will be waiting a month for the playlist feature but don't hold your breath expecting that to be right either. iBasso have mucked around so many times with the DX100 playlists. Like at one stage the filenames played in the reverse order of tracks for each album. It would start playing with the last track added. Even now with the Firmware 1.4.2, you must add your albums in the reverse order you want them to play. So if your adding a double DC to a single playlist you add CD2 first, then CD1....What????
Now, sure every device I own has a few idiosyncrasies, but iBasso make wonderful sounding devices of beautiful quality and feel, but man they are frustrating to use. Looks like I'll just have to be happy that the folders can be accessed and played completely now the Apostrophe is fixed. But I can see I am going to be playing my RWAK100 far more than I expected....
End of rant....
