Yes, we need a LO on AMP17. That’s the most feature that I miss on AMP16.

Yes, and a dedicated 4.4mm LO will be welcome, because the AMP15's LO is rated at 2 Vrms and the AMP16's has no LO.

Amp14 has a dedicated balanced LO, but it’s only 1.8 Vrms. Are we to believe Amp 17’s LO will be 4 Vrms?

Honestly, I'm not a technical expert, but if the little sisters DX180 and DX260 have a LO option and at a level of around 4.0 Vrms, I don't see why the new AMP17 with a dedicated balanced LO couldn't have it... 4 at least!
Tbh I think one of the few weak points of the DX340 by default (with the AMP15) is the poor specifications of its LO. So yes I am a believer! lol
I think the AMP17 will stand out mainly for its power. But that's just a guess!

Tbh I think one of the few weak points of the DX340 by default (with the AMP15) is the poor specifications of its LO. So yes I am a believer! lol

I somewhat agree…but, not all 340 owners will be affected by this, in fact the % of affected owners may be quite low…it’s highly dependent on your downstream gear selection (external amp and/or sensitive IEM’s ).….but, having the ability to attenuate a 4 Vrms LO would definitely be a more welcomed spec than attenuating a 1.8 Vrms LO.

Valentinum case arrived today. Very nice!

Mine is the standard black leather one which I really like. It will be great for carrying the DX340 in a shoulder bag, which I like to do, because the buttons on the side are accessible and can be operated "blind" but also they are protected from being accidentally pressed by the way the case front sits proud of them.

Holy cow! I just realized my Switch 2 can use DX340 in USB DAC mode!

I plugged the iBasso USB cable from the dock of the Switch 2 and USB-C end into the DX340 and it worked!

Insane.

Anyone notice any differences in sound/tuning with latest FW? With SG bass is even better as well clarity to my ears. I did root and optimize using my method. I should have waited to optimized and rooted DX260MK2 before doing this as 340 is even better.
